I designed one using the Guns Guns Guns system, I'll dig out the stats if anyone is interested.

I also like to use luck rolls to see if they get to make that awareness check in the first place.

I was wondering what the nastiest/funniest thing you've done to players in order to remove money or equipment from them is?
My personal best was to throw a grenade at someone wearing Metalgear. His armour absorbed most of the blast but it shredded the nerve gas cannisters he was carrying in a bandolier across his chest. The look on his face as he realised was classic!

I'd like a look as well.

I don't mind if the players see the die result, after all they don't know the target number. And sometimes that makes it worse for them - "My awareness check was 40, what do you mean I don't see anything?"
The way I figure it, the more work they do the less I have to do.

Check out the film Split Second for a brilliant vision of a flooded London.

main by product from nuclear fission, depleated urainium, now i wonder why the armed forces want to keep useing DU ammo ?
Actually it's a fuel reprocessing plant, it turns used uranium into MOX (mixed oxide fuel), DU is a byproduct of this. MOX, by the way, is also a really good way to sell plutonium to other countries.
Sorry, I live just up the road from it.

Just thought of another one - Ambient by Jack Womack. Not an easy read though.

For me William Burroughs has the right feel to it, also Frankenstein is a must.

Filmically I think it gies back to the anti-hero films of the seventies such as Taxi Driver.

My all time favourite has to be Synners by Pat Cadigan, closely tied with Hardwired. Phil K Dick can also be spot on at times. As for Hamilton - just got to love those psychic battles!

Always remember that the item descriptions in the Chromebooks are advertising. That fancy new gadget might develop a fatal flaw just when you need it most, and you won't find the recall notice until you get back.
Think "If Microsoft made combat rifles..."

I also like the idea of AIs experimenting with peoples lives
Suddenly The Sims seems so much scarier!

I treat armour in the same way I treat weapons. If the players want it, fine...just fill out this licence application form and we will get back to you. And if they want it ilegally then they really shouldn't be suprised that the police have a shoot first, ask questions later policy.

Don't forget to have players with low or non-existant PG thrown out of everywhere for being smelly old tramps.
Full-Auto ET guns?

I love it if my players take ET on their weapons! The way I figure it is
Plasma gives off a lot of E-M radiation.
The weapon is shielded.
The players cyberware is shielded.
Nothing's perfect, neh?
The best one was when the entire party shorted out their cybereyes in the middle of a firefight!
