Yes, I admit that is the case with myself as well. Pondering about philosophy takes a back seat when I watch moves, especially effects stuff like the Matrix.

I am disappointed at the critic reactions and the general bashing I see in the Net, but that is almost always the case with any movie I like. Luckily, I saw the movie so early that no reviews had crossed my way. For me, Revolutions was an amazing visual thrill-ride and it left me feeling damn glad I paid the 6 eurobucks for my ticket.

Dude, there are like 2000 user-made adventure modules for NWN. Speak not of boredom!

Power into the hands of soldiers? Maybe I'm paranoid, but I prefer power be in the hands of idiots, thank you very much.
Didn't Heinlein have rather extremist right-wing political opinions, anyway? Not that this in any way invalidates his points, which may or may not be accurate, but I am just curious.

hey, you forgot me! unless, of course I'm either a wiseguy or a loser =p

Well, I liked it.

Aye, that would probably have been the path of least resistance, unless Saddam would have absolutely refused to partake in any such deal (which he might have done, being something of a looney, it would seem). Personally, I do not think any one factor is 100% responsible for the war.

Quote (Chrysalis @ Oct. 31 2003,15:38) An Oz DVD pack would be worth investing in. Damn right... If there only was such a thing.
Golgotha: Don't bother with NWN, go to nwvault.ign.com and download the Shadowlords/Dreamcatcher saga. 9 modules of bloody brilliance.

Congratulations.

Wolf, I think you'd better stop before Archie goes berserk....

Have fun, everyone. I do not partake in festivities as a general rule, but I hope you all have an excellent time. Have a glass of [insert beverage of choice here] on my behalf, too.

Nice ideas all around, very nice. Makes me glad our visions of the future will never become reality.

National Write a Novel Month? Hmm, I wonder if I could dig up Fragments of Avalon and finish it in 30 days... Either that or my unnamed, shameful fanfic secret...

Hum, I found myself depicted...Here
Rather accurate, too, except I would never wear a shirt with a big number on it.

I was going to suggest Ghost Dog as well, but DS beat me to it. Excellent flick.

Aye, welcome unto thee.

Nice to see that everything is back to normal again.

That was entertaining, although some words struck too close to home to really make me laugh.

very fascinating insight, DC. I wonder if one could utilize that somehow. Alternate history jumps to mind, for one...

This might be a long shot, but I take it's not lager?

Smooth sailing, brother Rockwolf. And your cyberpuppy, too.

It's only a sodding movie.... Not flawless, but on my scale of entertainment NOTHING has ever got beyond 8.5 out of 10 marks. the original was about 7.8, Reloaded a solid 6.5 and Revolutions 7.0.
For the record, Aliens (i havent seen the first one) rates approximately 3.0 on the same scale. I simply CANNOT ABIDE Sigourney Weaver, who to mine eyes cannot act worth a damn. Giger's style has never applied to me either.
The best movie in the world? Hell, I can't remember off-hand (i did use to keep a list), but it was probably something entertaining, not a philosophical masterpiece. To me, critics have always been a horde of brainless, art-worshipping bastards who are simply furious that the paying public will rather watch Star Wars and read Lord of the Rings than look at indie art movies from Canada and kill their brains via Tolstoy.
