  1. GM Note:  although the entire crew roster was glossed over at the last day of training, well as complete as a crew roster can be just before you get frozen, introductions are well in order.

Everyone goes about their business as Kea gingerly grabs Robert out of the cockpit chair and moves him outside.  Danielle moves to open the large cargo bay doors to start moving ice chunks using the power lift construction suit.  Mayuki gets Ben down to the ground on his own two feet and moves to help out while Ben struggles to just keep himself upright for the moment and not fall on his backside.

  2. Here is one for the employment files!

My employers are trying to get me to write a whole grouping of expensive polo shirts (all colors and sizes) as a negative value ( worth more to be non existant or stolen than sold ).

This is of course is a illegal accounting practice.

I was trying to decide to run away from these people are stay for a bit longer to get much needed money whiole not incriminating myself in any illegal acts that would put my in jail and ruin all future hopes of working in the accounting field again.

  3. The OTV limps back inside the massive cavern that is the docking bay.  A close but not exactly perfect set-down as some minor chips of paint are release off into freefall in the gravity free environment.

Mayuki closes the outer bay doors and sets the bay to repressurize with air.

  4. well a chat board like this is a good place to be the large rock in which you can weather the storms of your life and air out your problems and grievances.

  5. Depending on how work goes that Friday I plan to attend an SCA pumpkin shoot where we get to fire live arrows at a bunch of pumpkins made up with candles inside lit so we can see the targets late at night. :D

  6. The team tries to work out who will go where and do what this morning after a well deserved rest, bettere than they have had in a few weeks as some even got to sleep on a real matress instead of in a truck or on the ground.

  7. I support the position of putting stuff on PDF but I doubt they will.

Rtal which consists of 1 part time employee is not likely to be reprinting anything which is not Fusion or even anything Fusion.

You cannot get through to them by using any business sense, the gods knows quite a few people tried to get them to sign off on new material under the cyberpunk brand name and they basically ignored them.

They are ruled by the passion of the game business and not by any kind of profit motive! :(

  8. I am with Dogsoldier on this as i have seen trained fighters in the SCA easily take on thirty fourty people and win out.

And yes there are Martial Arts forms that are illegal to be taught here in the US like Thou Kwon Do, learned a little bit from my old MA teach, it's a first hit, first kill style.

Oh I am known as Grayfox! ;)

  9. Well due to my new job I will be here less often since it seems to be that I am going to be working a bit of overtime every week.  Less time to be online here coming up with new ideas and playing my online games.  If it were menial work I could at least come up with ideas at work but since it's metally challenging and constantly busy, I barely ever have time to breath or rest while at work, and the whole place counts on me at the end of the day to shut it all down financially for the day, week, month quarter et al. :(

  10. Saying that the USMC is an Elite unit would be about the same as saying archers in the Roman legion were elite.

Yes they may have better training and such but the sheer fact that there are literally so many of them cuts down on their status as such.

  11. I actually found employment myself at the low end of the food chain actually doiong what I trained to do in school even though the pay is very close to that made at a fast food place.

I do work a semi routine 10-6err7pm schedule and have weekends off to go do SCA events which will be nice once I get a check.

    I am the entire accounts receivable + department at a t-shirt wholesaler's.

  12. I remember all the people that have expressed their idea of purchasing a copy of Cyber City, only a handful have come forward to do so.

Also, the PDF version was thought to be a boon and bring more people to purchase due to low price and near instant gratification.  This seems to have gone awry also.

Well, I can understand and get past setbacks created by outside forces like the post-office but it is hard to get past the experience that no-one seemsto what to purchase a copy and support further efforts at creating new works to enhance Cyberpunk gaming.

This really kills my desire to continue creating/writing new material since there are few if any that even appreciate my work to any extent. :(

  13. Actually the results I have had with repairing people's computers after being flodded has varied.

I would not write it off yet!

Letting it dry out would be a good idea but also, you really need to be able to take the cover off some way to make sure any of the dirt and gunk that might be inside can be cleaned out.

What I have done in the past with PC's that have been flooded after the home was flooded from tropical storms is to get them taken apart or at least to where you can reach and see all the component boards and then make sure there is no left over residue on them.  If there is you should try to clean it off with denatured alcohol ( same bottle as Isopropal Alcohol but 100% without any water inside).  You should be in a room with a lot of light and see if possible you can get all the leads from the circuit boards clean as possible.

I will admit this will not always work and I have never had to do this with a laptop but still it is worth a try.

Don't turn it on until you have cleaned it though as any water left over bridging circuits on the inside will most likely cause some kind of short.  Water can be trapped inside for an extended period of time in small gadgets.

  14. obviously you have not heard about the SCA, Scuffed-Pride.  We do a form of fencing and re-creation style European combat sword and shield plus all other types of weapons.  If you check the Gallery I am there with sowrd and shield.

And thanks for the thought GRIM but due to a current lack of any money whatsoever and lack of any experience as a recent graduate I have been having lots of trouble.  The one reason I am in Houston is because I can stay here with relatives rent free until I can earn enough to do otherwise.

  15. What is pissing me off is the interviews I have gone to are primarilly for a sales position even though they advertise for it differently.  With the economy as it is right now who can you sell anything too.  Plus they also required that you paid them a fee for instruction and all you get in return is a 15% commision on what you sell using you car and finding your own customers.

The only other job I have gotten an interview for is a real office job but they are paying fast food wages for an experienced degreed accounting position.  Sadly, if the say yes I plan to take it since at least I will earn some work experience so in a few years I can be qualified for better positions.

    :(
