Now, something back: two of these light prop-planes I was talking about last time:

the stats are a bit boosted comparing to real-life (I figured that they were updated, well, it translates mostly in better range).

They are useful as patrol aircraft, and as such they would be useful for corps - can use makeshift runways, don't burn expensive avgas, are damn cheap (so what that their range isn't so flashy as jet fighters?), can carry armaments as deadly as any other military craft, are perfectly legal to posess, nad are fast enough to be used as interceptors against helicopters (although for Ospreys and AV-s are too slow... but hey, not everywhere in the world they can afford AV-s!)

PZL-130TC "Orlik" ("small eagle")

It's a surplus Polish training aircraft, refitted into a light attack plane and helicopter buster. It's popular among pilots because of its good handling and low IR signature. The painting laser, although allows use of laser-guided ordinance, is mostly a gimmick, as most third-world nations don't waste their budgets on expensive, laser-guided weapons, prederring simple machineguns, free-fall bombs and rockets.

Produced in huge numbers (until 1993, 570 were delivered), Brasilian Embraer Tucano trainer was widely used around the world (I do not cover British Shorts Tucano here!)in various wersions. Most of these planes are now refitted to Tucano-H standard and avaible to private buyers (mostly flying enthusiast), governments and corporations. It doesn't handle as well as PZL-130, but has better performance and carrying capacity. That makes it more popular among buyers.

The Militech Visby Class does well for a small ship that can handle the larger predators.

Your situation is a little different than just a coast guard as they would have to provide naval support as well.  Remember you might not want to stray too far from your waters and keep air support within a short reach on scramble alert any time any hostile type encounter might be encountered.

I think the one thing that will eventually bring a human mission to mars is that we seem so inept at getting unmanned probe missions to work properly.

Kea brings the OTV up to full power and releases a long burn of feul on the way out to the comet.  Some more feul is burned just getting the OTV to slowly and smoothly land sort of where he wants it to.

Ah yes what would a world be like without the warm and comforting

feelings of love for another human.

Well pretty much Cyberpunk!

Humanity what drives the sanity of players in the game is also

about how they react to other individuals in society.

Of course getting yopur flesh replaced with cybernetics is not

the only way to drop down into the emotional pit.  It's all

about human interactions with other fleshies.

Cyborgs even though they are mostly meat and just a little bit meat

still need companionship and the sense of belonging to remain

grounded and not lose what basis of right and wrong to do in the

world.

NPC's and PC humanity can be shaped by many things other than just

a new cold metalic arm.

When you think about it Cyberpunk is a world where everyone is out

there just for themselves.  To make a mark on the world and to horde

as much of whatever it is they need and desire as they can.

It is well known that many things have been used in pre-Cyber society

for people to cope with the lack of love and effection.  The most

obvious have been the collection and hording of weal;th and material

possesions.  In fact has now gotten to a point where people try and

succeed in owning and controlling others either outright or via economic

means.

Many things can damage a Npc's or PC's ability to have a decent humanity

score even if they seem to come from a well adjusted lifestyle.

Family problems:  who does not have these issues in a Cyberpunk world.

from parential beetings, drug use, abuse, and sexual abuse one's mindset

can become warped.  Characters kind find they try to initiate working

relationships with others but they all tend to fail and fall apart

when the slightest amount of stress is placed on them.

naturally a strong mind will tend to try to protect itself from these

problems which will wither away humanity, but to no avail.  A closed

mind can not think and reason properly and with the current epidemic

proportions of these problems has the Cyberpunk world arisen.

Arisen it has from the ashes and dispair of the masses not being able to

cope with yet even the simplest and most basic relations with others.

Thus as the family and loved one's the basic units break down people try

to cope in the best ways they know how.

Therefore gangs, evil, good, protectionist have formed everywhere.  Tribes

for the lack of a better term have formed up as not only co-dependant from

a limited factor due to possesion but also due to emotional stability.

Others end up not being able to cope with the human race alltogether anymore

and end up placing foreign objects into or on their bodys.  Selling themselves

for sexual favors to the highest bidder or just plain lapsing into a world

of fantasy of their own or group delusional making ( the net ).

Can you see this, it's all around you!  Everyone is suffering from it in their

own deluded way.  From the ganger on the mean streets in a gang, the street hooker

running tricks, to the lofty Corp executive hiding from the dark dankness of reality

in the net or in the arms of the street hooker.  Each hoping to gain back

a bit of what they had lost of humanity but failing misseriably each time

and falling further and further as they claw their way going the exact

opposite direction they really need to go.

Well for starters the math alone is gonna drain them of any kind of resources they

might have stashed away.

you thought the corp zone was expensive well a coffin per night in the crystal pallace ought to run not

a simple corp level of 120 Euro a night but 200 Euro a night in advance no less so that yopu can

confirm you have a space.  Every thing is 10 to 12 times more expensive and selection is really

limited.

people don't just visit either.  Anyone who stays more than a few days will bring about a in depth

background check by the security forces.  Why, well sabotage possiblilty is to scary to think about

and anyone that has not prearrange a job working somewhere in space before showing up will be unable

to find any kind of work.  of course all of that is checked with the security to know who exactly

is coming onto the station.

Dirt siders showing up for a visit or vacation is highly unlikely.  Crystal palace is a jumping off

point to other places in space and not a place anyone stays.

Anyone not fitting into these strict parameters would probably be considered a Edgerunner and

dangerous subversive.

Security would likely escort them back to ground side as soon as their legit accounts that can be

verified reach to near a level where a ticket back is still affordable.

They want to resist?  Remember, the elite Euro Solo angels are stationed here also they are the best

of the best and would find the intrusion of these edgerunner pups a challenge to their authority.

Even if their credit through legit sources is still good they may have accounts frozen by security

so that they can be escorted off quickly before any problems arise.

The whole place is also no fun for a edgerunner out foor a night on the town.  There is no smoking

drinking of booze due to mostly high cost to smuggle it in, and no drugs.  Forget those starwars

bar scenes this place is clean spik an span Corp land.  Cameras and survalinece devices are everywhere

big brother is the rule of the day.  You think you might find someone to help the PC's, nope they

are complete outsiders here and should be treated like they have the plague in a small mideival town.

This is completely alien to them.  The air and water itself should be nasty to them and have an

adverse gastronomical effect (diaria cha cha cha) it's just to clean the air will annoy their

polution scarred lungs.

I don't really have any info that I have ever created but have run two space games.

I might be able to do a little BS help your way thru it.

What's the time frame your dealing with also.  As I can't get online here except for a hour or two each day if it's urgent you may need to email me questions.

I have done quite a bit with power point and don't think you can do what your looking to do as Powerpoint is pretty much a static dealI think the best conversion you would be able to get would be screen shots cut down pictures of what the java does into slides and then move them along at a fast pace.

Powerpoint is a slide presentation tool.

I believe Joe it is as it says a recomendation.

Course going to a forum that actually has something to do with the game in question would more likely be much more helpful.

One wonders why he asked here and did not include the details that would be needed to help him.

Well I just gotta laugh because I am in the US and I have a vote on the subject.  Too many crappy Bush policies that are half-assed for me to vote for him.

It's easy to create an artificial gravity for a space station if it is large enough.

The OTV glides out of the Santa Maria as Kea realizes that no one else is gonna join him and Danielle in the search for ice off of the Comet.

A nice smooth start easily clearing the docking bay and using the thrusters to clear the front of the ship Kea and Danielle find the comet to be somewhat further off in the distance to the starboard side further away than before.

Mayuki finds herself yet again in a deep thick jungle with vines all around her as passageways snake away in multiple directions.  A veritable maze before her of twisted and clumped vines and tree stalks all twisted together.  I guess the best she can say is that she was not attacked right away as she entered back into the outskirts of the computer system.

3 tunnel choices stand before her.  one to the left, one on the right and the one directly opposite the entrance she has just come in from.

Well Chrys you and a bunch of law enforcement is still working on some of it.

An example:

Street Gangs:  it comes down to the basics of family.  Most street kids are missing a parent.  The one that is left is normally absent either because they are working to support the child with two jobs and cant find time to spend with them or into the drug or sex scene.  

The teen going through changes feels the need to belong to something to matter to someone be something bigger than what they are by themselves.

This is what the gang provides!

In all it's various forms and formats based on mostly whois the strongest or most charismatic of the group leads the way in style, or for long standing gangs tradition of how thing where done in the past they will continue this way.

Life means very little except if they mess with your family (gang) then you would do anything for revenge cause that's what you do.  YOu pay them back eye for an eye and if you take both their eyes well that ought to teach em not to hurt their family anymore.

Sidestep:  go back and take a look into historical perspective at ancient family fueds and the eventual creation of the (weirguild concept for repayment upon the death of a family member) supposed to end blood feuds.

Todays modern gangs are nothing much more than virtual little tribes raising each other the only way they know how with the best free market way to make money.  Who cares if the way is legal or moral, it's the family business to do it this way.

The brash and harsh nature of the initiation are exactly that!  You must prove that you would not betray your family (gang) now and in the future.  Course killing an oppossing gang member might be a good way to prove your worth or allowing oneself to be beaten to a bloddy mess without fighting back by your family (gang) to prove your loyality and devotion.

I have seen many a thing go on during my time working the late night shift at Whataburger.  Crackheads, dopefiends, people loading guns to kill someone after they ate. gang fights, drug lords powerfull enough charismatically to calm a riot in the lobby by just a few words.  Shootouts with the police next door that left bullet holes in the side of the building.

And hey this was a small college town not even Houston.

Not to mention prostitutes running fromtheir families hooking up with college guys as long as they could pay the bills they would have sex with them.  Strippers who came everynight and I had talks with late in the evening after the bar had closed down.

They all cycled in together with drugs alcohol and money being a prime motivation as well as the want to feel loved and belong either given by a gang or substituted for with cheap sex or drugs.

BUT I am against placing a base on the moon when the best place to put a permanent space base is in L1 (lagrange zone) a neutral gravity area between the Earth and moon where there is no pull from either celestial body.

A moon base could be mined primarily by robots for many years without the meed for human intervention of any large degree.
