Quote (Chrysalis @ Nov. 01 2002,06:47) Aga, I agree.
After the N.O.D. thread, I think what small sexual perversions we have, have already been revealed; or bequethed. What few minors or morally upstanding citizens have most likely already left with the feeling of the need to wash their hands.

The Chechens are Islamic. There is no telling what they might have done.
-
How well could negotiations have been going. The terrorists demanded that all Russian troops pull out of Chechnya immediately. They indicated that they would begin killing hostages after a deadline was past.
-
The reason for not negotiating is that Governments have all been there and done that. It doesn't work, if terrorsist get hostages they have a habit of hanging on to them till they can't use them for anything else. Look back to the old Beirut days or the American Embassy in Tehran.

I'm sorry Malek but those are old and getting a bit lame. I'd really like to see conspiracies involving new, previously unheard of villians. Oh, there definitely were pieces of aircraft at the WTC and the Pentagon.
I have to admit that one of my favorite theories involved the "breaking of the pentagon" to unleash the abomination that had been sealed there. Of course make UBL something like a Chuthlhu cultist

Well I must say I've been dissappointed so far. I was really expecting better from the resident conspiracy theorist. BTW, Buchanan is quite the conspiracy theorist himself. He can almost always be counted on to deliver the 2% of the popular vote that apparently constitutes the conspiracy vote.

Come on Murph, I'm trying to get the conspiracy theorist on this board to come up with something interesting and entertaining

Sounds like Boosters would be like street racers. Instead of modifying cars they modify themselves. Trust me, in their own way car people can be as geeky as they come. Iv'e been there and done that Anyway, boosters may very well work for and hang around medical facilities. Rather like that heavily tattooed and pierced often get jobs tattooing and piercing or the previously mentioned streetracers get a vehicular related job. I could see Boosters being EMTs' and various types of medical technicians or even doctors.

Senator Wellstone from Minnesota was killed in a plane crash. He wasin a very close race to keep his US Senate seat. Now all bets are off and the Democratic Party is confident that any replacement they choose is a shoo-in by virtue of voter sympathy.
Now why is this so interesting you may ask. In 2000 Governor Karnahan of Missouri died in a plane crash while running against John Ashcroft for Ashcrofts Senate seat. Ashcroft lost to the dead man because of the sympathy vote and Jean Karnahan, the dead mans wife, was appointed by the Democratic governor of Missouri to take her dead husbands seat. She can only hold the seat for 2 years as she is an appointee and not elected. This directly resulted in the 50-50 split in the Senate that was broken when Jim Jeffords declared himself "Independent" thus resulting in a 50-49-1 split giving the Democrats control of the Senate.
For you further amusement, in 1992 Ross Perot formed the Reform party and ran for President. His brand of populism was able to suck away enough Republican votes for Bill Clinton to win the Presidency. Once more in 1996 he ran with the same result. However, in 2000 Bill Clinton wasn't running and neither was Perot. Perot abandon the party he had founded with the result that Patrick Buchanan was the candidate. Buchanan is widely viewed as a bigoted nutcase and at any rate got no more votes than Ralph Nader in the Green Party.
Bottom line is that Bill Clinton never got more than 50% of the popular vote and wouldn't have been President if Perot hadn't "spoiled" the Republican base.
BTW, if you take into account all the votes for the minority party candidates like Libertarians, Greens, Reform, Socialist, Independants etc. you'll probably find that neither fof the major party candidates got 50% or more of the popular vote either.

I gotta love uncensored if biased American news. Most that posted after my last post seemed to be unaware that the Spetznatz or whatever they're called these days had gassed the building and stormed the place

According to the news the Russians dealt with the Chechens "assymetrically". In the end the Chechens have lost a lot of international sympathy.

I thought there was something about this thread that reminded me of my ex-wife.

I don't believe that I'd recognize Celine Dion if she grabbed me by the ears and kissed me. It's amazing how much you can tolerate if you don't watch a lot of television or don't listen to the radio

I find this talk of 'mateship' entertaining. Let us say that Officers Friendly and Koercky chance upon your mates attempt at grass roots wealth re-distribution. Your mate then takes exception to their request that he 'assume the position' by offering them violence. The officers then light up his sorry butt up like a cheap cigar and he spends the rest of his life flopping around making blood angels on the pavement. Will you then attempt retribution on the police officers?

How can you tell if a porcupine is epileptic?

All group hugs should be taken to the N.O.D. thread.

So Jerry, Brett and Tom have an unofficial support group. Ralph shows up with his shiny new <insert here>. Jerry says, "So, Ralph, how'd you lose that?"

What would the reaction of someone had a cybernetic replacement as a result of an accident be to someone who had parts replaced voluntarily?
-
Accidental shootings aren't very common and the rate has been dropping for years due to better education in gun safety, largely thanks to the NRA.
Mark. did you ever attend Front Sight?
