  1. On the question of no pleasure with sex I'm going to invoke then Law of Unintended Consequence.  Society would degenerate into nasty, brutish violence.  Savage young men would run in packs entirely unrestrained by any gentler emotions.  Young women would be murdered wholesale or imprisoned and used as brood animals by the more "enlightened" men.  It would be bad :(

When I was a kid, my mum kept changing our religion around a bit cos she wanted to find the best one. We went to several different braches of Christianity and for a while were Jehovah's witnesses. I was also one of those kids who was very interested in ancient history and liked to research their religions and stuff.

As a result I saw that pretty much any religion can be called fake because they all depend on faith with no proof. I started gettign fed up with everyone trying to convert me to their religion saying their's was the right one adn everyone else's was fake, or would send me to hell, or wasn't the religion in it's purist form. So I'm pretty much non-religious now. I have no problem with people who are religious, and admire those who can put their faith in one, but I get pissed off when people try to convert me.

    It's against my beliefs. ;)

I am sorry but I need to respond. All prophets have had to put down some pretty heavy proofs about their station as the messengers of God.

As for faith, I know that blind faith is prohibited in the Bahai faith, and the Koran speaks out firmly against blind faith.

Christianity... well, it has become something else entirely.

Faith is "The substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen."  Faith has a basis in knowledge but knowledge and faith are two different things.  Things taken on faith are by necessity taken blind.

Well, I've filled sections of hospitals.... does that count? What about psychiatric wards?

Don't boast about anything until the statutes of limitations expires. ;)

  4. I've always figured that if a superhuman AI was ever created eventually it would get depressed, write a lot of bad poetry and then die of natural causes.

  5. Okay,  I've got a personal reason to get upset when you start introducing too much rationality into sex and love.  My ex married me because of my good bone structure.  Broad shoulders, deep chest, narrow hips.  She saw me as a real stud.  I mean that literally.  All she wanted from me was to make a baby.  She wanted my genes.  For the first 8 months of our marriage the sex was crazy and constant.  She got pregnant and pow, off to the couch with me.  I endured this even though she was exceptionally mean the whole time.  She delivered C-section and when my daughter was delivered she asked "Is it a girl?"  They said yes and she says "Tie my tubes."  That was it.  She stayed with me for about a year then moved in with her sister and brother-in-law.  I didn't know it at the time but she had basically abandoned my daughter there while she went off to do other stuff.  I never saw her, just picked my kid up for visitations.  My daughter knows all sorts of things about her mother and she actually hates her mother.  This whole thing has got me pissed off again.     Taht's what lots of rational thought can do for your relationships.

  6. Malek, I don't want to sound harsh here.  But you haven't got a clue.  The human organism is so much more sophisticated than any chrome and plastic doodad we can invint that it's not even funny.  All those chemicals serve and good purpose.  And to paraphrase an old saying, no ones last word on their deathbed was ever "I wish I'd made love less often and spent more time thinking about gadgets."

  7. A major cause of my skepticism is that the same parties who championed Wayne Dumond and James Dean Walker have taken up the banner for these three.  Based on the track record of some of the locals that have come out in support of the three we could expect some murders within a few months of their release.  It's almost bad enough to believe in a conspiracy.

  8. In Arkansas there is a tradition of making celebrities out of convicted criminals.  The last one was a fellow named Wayne Dumond.  Do a Google search and you will find all sorts of sites proclaiming his innocences.   He was paroled about a year ago and moved to Missouri where he has since been arrested for the rapes and murders of several women.  The folks who look for martyrs have apparently latched onto these three as their latest cause celebre.  I followed their trial and in my opinion these young men are dangerous,  sadistic perverts.  Of course I just live here and may be a bit jaded.  Before Dumond I believe the celebrity convict was a guy named James Dean Walker.  I'll have to check.

  9. Can someone explain groupies to me.  Not just the rock star fans.  There are groupies for all kinds of activities.  I've seen fire fighter groupies, cowboy groupies, martial arts groupies and I even got hit on by a SCUBA groupie on a dive trip.  The martial arts association I in will strip you of your rank and kick you out for messing with 'em.  It's weird when some really cute soccer mom brings her crumb-cruncher in for a youth class then wants to keep one of the instructors over on the side talking.

  10. Apparently the Pentecostal ladies view on the subject is at odds with what you would think she would believe.  Besides, I think the New Testament says pimps will burn in hell but the fallen woman should "go and sin no more".  Sheesh,  I shouldn't have mentioned this. I really don't want to bring in religious beliefs.

  11. Today I met some of my older female friends.  By that I mean they are older than me, all of them pushing 50.  I asked them a few questions about some of the things that have come up about sex over the last week or so on these boards.  They became pretty pointed in their questions back at me.  One lady who is a Pentecostal, long dress, hair up in a bun and all that says, "A woman will do what she has to do.  The shame is on the men."  Then she says that if I knew someone like that I should send them money to help them get by.

Maybe we should start a seperate thread to discuss this Relationship issue...it seems that the title topic is being drowned, and that plenty of people here have questions and concerns they'd like answered...

The only thing is I don't wish to do anyone an injury in the process. Only if you're game...

I started a thread called Sex and everything else.  If you've got questions stick 'em in there

To go on a similar tangent I just got sent this by email:

    Female or Shemale

As for Mr. Sibrel, I think he got what he deserved, stalking an old man like that.

I scored 11/16, on 3 of the ones I missed I'd have got it right if I had stuck to my first choice.

  14. The title says it.  There is always sexual tension between men and women. Always.  In the Interesting Website thread Lady Grey told of being "expected to do a little business and move one."  The problems all start when you shred the pretty cover and poke around in the subject.  If you go on a date some sort of transaction is always implied.  What the payoff is will vary but it's always there.  Really, it suck pond scum through a soda straw.
