  1. Actually the Light Saber is the preferred weapon of the Jedi. It's what they're most trained to use and even if they were using a blaster, which I doubt most would know how to use, it would of been the same outcome. If you go by the Vitality and Wounds rules in the Star Wars RPG book, each blaster hit to the saber was a hit taken out of vitality until it ran into wounds and they eventually started to take the hits. Only so much Vitality can you have before it starts to go down.

i'm currently in the process of trying to wrap my head around the shadowrun world in prepartion for a shadowrun campaign.

*shudders* Shadowrun is horrible! Ugh, it basically takes Cyberpunk and makes it's the munchkin's D&D. I really distate the idea of Orcs running around with high powered machine guns. For me, magic and monsters just don't belong in CP. That's one of the reasons I love CP so much, it's so realistic. I mean sure, Cybernetics and Bio enhancements aren't but the raw human emotion and style of it make it one of the best RPG games out there and trust me, I've played a lot.

Then I remembered that I work at (and am now the floor manager) one of the premier bondage bars in the Midwest.

Hah hah, you only think you do. ;)

Hi Chrys!  Is one of the women in that picture you?

And such a manly woman at that.

  4. Bah... anyone else ever notice that all bullets and missiles are the shape of a penis? To quote George Carlin, "It's a subconcious feeling to project their penis in other people's affairs." Basically war is a big prick waving contest and it sounds like this, "What?!?! They have bigger d*cks? BOMB THEM!"

  5. Where you from Chrysallis?

I've got school tomorrow but I'm going to the Midnight showing here and I might just end up skipping school the next day for sleep. Heh, the things I do for Star Wars.

  6. The game is awesome. Heh, this coming from a fan of the movie and the book. The game stayed very true to the feel of Blade Runner. There are multiple endings and tons and tons of paths you can take depends on how you tackle certain situations and go about getting information. If you really like the game then you should come join my Blade Runner game here on the forum under "Blade Runner Blues".

  7. Trust? Bullshit! This is Cyberpunk, Phipps and once you start trusting people you're more likely  going to get your ass blown away for something as trivial as petty cash or to save someone's own hide. I encourage roleplaying your character but using out of game knowledge or taking a vendetta from out of game into the game is definatly a no no. If a sufficient reason can be made then you can do it. I'm not going to sit here and dictate how you can and can't play your character. This is Cyberpunk, and your ass is grass.

  8. You have to remember that this is Cyberpunk. It isn't D&D where everything is Black and White. Cyberpunk is an extremely gray and depressing world to live in with corrupted officials and backstabbing friends. There never are friends, just alliances. In my games, staying true to the Cyberpunk genre, I allow anything to go between players and NPC's. Now of course I don't allow grenades and high powered rifles but backstabbing, cheating, killing, murdering, everything is fair game. If I didn't, I wouldn't be a good GM. The whole "Team" idea is not really effective in Cyberpunk. Know what I mean?

I surely MUST condemn my fellow Cyberpunk TekXombie´s cruel words. As a sign of my sincerity and great commitment to the cause of gender equality, I will need all the female players telephone numbers and addresses, so I will be able to personally apologize for my male fellow´s crude remarks.

    Heh heh, right on!

  11. I'm posting terms and names used in Blade Runner here, so that in case someone who may not be as familiar with the movie or book, you'll understand what we mean. Everyone else who thinks of something I don't, feel happy to post it.

Blade Runner - Police unit designed to hunt down replicants who have escaped and came to earth.

Replicant- Also known as a android, a genetically created and enhanced human.

Esper - Computer that analyses and sends information such as photos and data to the Police headquarters.

Spinner - A flying car, mainly used by the police and Blade Runner's alike. Uses a engine similar to a jet engine by lifting off the ground and soaring through the air. Spinners are also equipped with wheel equipment for road and ground driving.

Ground car - Term used for any car that's driven on the road or does not fly.

"Skin Job" - Comment used by Blade Runners and other police units as a slang term for a Replicant.

Retiring - Term commonly used in place of "Killing" or Assassinating a Replicant.

  12. Eh, Hockey sucks as well as the majority of all sports. I would of figured that you intelligent gamers would also detest them but I guess I was wrong ;). I live in Michigan so I have to hear about the GOD DAMNED Red Wings constantly! Ahh!

  13. *drools* Heh, I love the female CP/Goth looking pictures. Heh heh, I'd give anything to go to this. Kickass pics man, especially the female ones ;) Heh heh and whoever said female gamers were ugly?

  14. Alright, the story's almost completed and I wanted to know a few things for starts.

    1. Who all is going to play?

    2. Would you rather play on these boards or by email?

At the moment, I'm going to have most the players be Blade Runners but if you have a different class that you would think might fit in to the story, email me at TekXombie@hotmail.com and we can discuss it. Also, if you'd like to maybe play a Replicant character, talk to me about it through my email, that way I can share things with you about the story that other people might not know.

  16. I personally thought the movie was excellent. It was actually a lot better than I had thought. Being a big fan of the Resident Evil games and books series, I was glad they were faithful to the series. It was an excellent adaption and the plot, while explaining the events of the first game on up, was refreshing and surprising in it's implications. The visuals, characters and music were all excellent as well. It's definatly a movie I'm going to buy on DVD when it's released.
