I have the books like Home of the brave and land of the free, but what I am lookfor is some info dealing with some of the states like Kansas and other states around there, and like texas and such.
The reason I need this info is that I am thinking of a game setting around the mid-west.
Most of the info I have says that it is like a no mans land, the only ones that go through it is the nomads and the ones looking for death real fast..
In one case I heard that due to the missile sailos that was in Kansas that it was a target that got hit hard.
What I want to do is make up a adventure something like the Mad Max movie, but there is not much info out about such states.
So I come to all of you to help me out with it.
I have a few thing worked out like citys and towns but I need to know what the setting to put them in, I know that I can just make them as no man lands but I would not want to do so for fear of causeing prob.s with the player saying things like "well it is not like this in this or that book" so I fig sence I do not have all the books and some one of you mite have the book or books that cover this I would ask you before I get this game started..

    Thanks

I live in North Eastern OK, My Parents live in South Eastern Kanasas and used to live in Western (panhandle) Texas. If you want to run a "mad-max" style game your best bet would be the panhandles of Texas and OK, especially around the Palo Duro canyon, out there there are miles and miles of miles and miles.

One thing to remember about the people in this area, they are resillient, and dont like change. I have a sourcebook for Tulsa, OK at my website www.paper-dragon.com/rust_never_sleeps , which is the first thing I created for Cyberpunk.

the eastern side of Kansas, Oklahoma and Texas butt up against the Ozarks so they are hilly and wooded, I dont see that changing anytime soon, the further you go out west the flatter it becomes as it turns into flatland. wheat is grown in the east, corn in the west and cotton in the south. MANY of the roads in OK are Toll roads, again I dont see that changing anytime soon so the gov't will keep a grip on some of the highways.

Ive been inclined to set up a game similer, a good resource are the Autoduel Atlas' from steve jackson games (especially the "free oil states")

nope, no glitch, all gone... and since I just reformatted my HD (as well as changed machines) all the info for Chrome 5 is gone... want to see NBCi's answer?

Q: Where is all my data previously stored on NBCi?

A: Make sure you have a backup of all data stored on www.nbci.com (such as your web site, shared files, address books, and portfolio), as well as on Xoom.com and Snap.com.

what kind of answer is that?!?
