Well, they've really done it now. My PCs have jsut done the unthinkable inn my Chicago campaign and have gone up to L1 in hiding.

Being that I have always been terrestrial bound as a GM in the past, I didn't think that they would do it, but as the old GM axiom says...

So now to my ?'s:

Anybody got a good source for the old Crystal palace (circa 2020-2023) as far as maps, shops, inhabitants? All I have is Deep Space for a supplement and I know that it is not detailed enough for my needs. Did anyone run an orbital campaign that I could bastardize to fit my needs. I gotta few ideas for NPCs and such, but I lack the detail that I usually have for use.

Maps, shops, areas, ideas- all would be appreciated, and would go down as 1 favor (minor) from The Public.

That's the difference between a 'run' and a 'campaign'.

I hoipe that all of my runs turn into campaigns, so knowing now what I do about most folks just doing runs, I am real flexible on making up some of the detail sh!t on the fly.

Just make real sure that you write it all down, you'll need it later...

No problem on all except, direct theft and shoplifting (I find it personally reprehesible, but not the pruchase and selling of said goods- go figure) and rape (which I cannot abide)

The others, I either have or would without hesitation on a trial by trial basis (if ya wana hurt or kill someone w/ me, I better know why and then, I can diperse any info needed to throw off case)

Criminal mindset is easy, as said before, no is a person except you, and all things are objects put out there for you to use.  use this mentality w/ the running knowledge of if you are sloppy at all you are going to get caught. thenyou are set.

To do changes/ combos of differing items/ concepts, I've always been a bit of a bugger. (well that and I always had some aspiring engineer in my group at one time or another)

Issues shoule all be worked out, not onthe concept level (when given the right way, any concept can seem reasonable. Issues should really be worked on in blueprints (crude tho they may be) issues surrounding this combo that you brought up are:

How is it powered (the shock and how many times until recharge? how long plugged in or new battery to recharge?)

Grounding issues (the shcok finger is easy to keep from grounding out on you (it's small and easy to insulate) Wolvers on the other hand...)

how do you engergize this system (button, MLinking(my fav) vocal command, and once energized, is the pulse use or lose or can it be recycled back into the system)

Answer these issues, and provide the means at whcih you are getting the materials (which could be a run or two in it's self considering both are black market cyber) and then run it as a complexity # x hrs, roll every 4 for success at each part (usually 2-8 parts of process) and let'er fly.

Modification should be easy, but never too easy.

Considering that right now, today, the Biotech Autoinjector is actually a device (I think MedTronic makes the best one I know) that is used today for pain management (except the ones I know and completely filled and implanted subdermally) I don't see any of that to be a far fetched idea. Breast implants really that much different than replacing your meat hand w/ a cybernetic one if the technology and availliability allowed?

Not that much different, they both would hurt like a bitch right after it was done, and barring true DNI, feel kinda foriegn once they are in and exablished.

Armour vs rd individually (but subtract that point for evey one that goes thru first)

It's cuz the rule is simple

Stun is a flat roll, d10 vs your Body, (I heavily suggest tossing the BTM for realism sake) make it you say, Bring it one, Fail you hold your parts screaming Oh Sh!t!.

I suggest the dynamic that even if you do make it, use the rough guide of 10 (turns=minutes) - (Body-amount of damage sustained by the injury) = how long the PC can go without another Stun roll from this wound. Multiple wounds, damage is cumulative, Body is not.

Try it, it works well for flavor.
