  1. In order to get this thing going, I'll append the motions.

    IG:

Walking around Corrie notices a business card in the pile of gear sitting on one of the beds.

It is linen and just one shade grey off of white.

In black ink tread the words:

    Edward B. Fontenot

    Infocomp Special Projects Division

    Chicago

There is no number, only a barcode on the back in silver foil print..

Looks like this may be where the last occupant was heading after leaving thier gear in the flat. Other than some moderatly decenbt cologne and a few changes of clothes, there doesn't seem to be much here besides sone world beat music chips.

  2. Then we are back on, and if Snowy doesn't show (he's done this before) we'll just float your intro to the rest of the folks.

Stay patient, I'll give Snow another week, in game it will just be a push to the time as you know it, just a few minutes later Washboy.

    Thanks for staying on folks.

  3. Walking through the flat, she notices the black and white layout of the kitchen, complete with checkerboard tiles, the antiquated stove and microwave (circa 1990) and the presence of only one bathroom (sacre bleu!)

Walking through the two bedrooms, she happens upon a neat stack of items on one of the bunk beds(two in each room). Laying there is a pile of folded mens clothes, various tech style items, and a half empty pack of filtered clove cigarettes.

They are definately not the only ones that have been here...

  4. Down the steps and into another vestibule, the buzzers read, J. Scholnick, M. Abrahim, Blackstone, T. Vidyalankar, with a button nest to each on one side and a slot for mail on the other. The similar brick walls and wood and glass door greet you before the stairwell up.

The door swings open with the key and the stairs are carpeted in grey, low pile industrial carpet, yet the place smells pine clean and as your sinuses start to defrost you all notice that the temperature in this stairway is atleast a comfy 75 F.

Giggling the key thru the lock Hector opens the door, and feels something that triggers off some genetic memory. we must be talking Ecuador in july, in the middle of the hottest part of the afternoon. Hotter than hell and dryer than a drunk three days into detox, you walk in throught he door, Grey carpet, closet to the immdeiate left and a living room that has room for a couch on each wall, a flatscreen TV in one corner and a full on unobstructed view of Rdge Ave through some of the oldest aluminum clad windows you've had the pleasure of looking thourgh.

upon walking into the living room, you see that it opens to the northesat corner tot he kitchen, a study of balck and white checker ans red cabinet handles, and an opening to the east to waht must be the bathroom and bedrooms.

  5. Ignoring Slyvaine entirely the boy looks at Hector and all of a sudden a light goes on in his eyes.

"Ah Senior, ah dos para su ! su Nessistas a otra paritia. A 239 si?!"

(Ah Sir, the 2 is for you, you need the other spot, 239 yes?)

And the boy opens the door right up, pops by hector and Slyvaine and between Corrie and the door and points down the courtyard and tot he doorway on the right down the courtyard stairs.

    "Si, es esta para su!"

(Yes it is that one for you!)

and the young boy beams happily at Hector and the girls.

  6. Jack Picks up the phone.

"I'm in a meeting, what again? Oh the address, 239 #2. You can ask the super as well, Ramiro I think his name is... That it?"

The little boy looks across the glass of the window in the door tothe stairs alomst confused as Hector moves the conversation from him to the phone. You notice Corrie relaxing a bit more and looking out the window to the courtyard, noticing a squirrel or something.

  7. In spanish:

"Yes, I can find that out, but you need to slip it under the door so I can match it, i can help you mister!"

He syas enthusiatically, barreling down the steps and toward the door nest to you.

He see the girls and smiles as he waits for the key, being roughly 6 years old and wearing his Max Hweadroom PJs.

  8. (Just for a bit of clarity, the only door that is unlocked is the one you folks took in tot he vestibule)

    "Click, stomp, stomp stomp. Bang"

"Click," Lights up the stairs to the right, "Hola?, Como say llama? Se nessicitas mira una apartamenta?" you al lhear coming from the voice of a young boy.

  9. down the stiars through the glass hector sees a pair of size 10 red pumps attached to what looks like a very large black lady, as she comes down in a blck wool peacoat in a size XXXL at least until she see's you guys and screams.

"Ramiro!!!! ramiro!!!! RAMIRO!!!! Son of a bitch! "

and double times it up the stairs.

  10. You all reach the doorway to 395 and see the line of six mailboxes set in the wall and the stack of six old style white buttons with names in a white sticker next to each except one that has a brass plate set next tot he one reading "J. Vasquez" the vestuble will house all of you if you like, and those inside notice the wooden door with a full pane of glass showing the entrence tothe insde stairway. In the vestibule you notice that it is at lest a comfy 70 degrees F inside and those wearing glasses see them instantly fog up (xcpt Slyv, whos glasses fog for a nanosecond and then elctronically defog themselves,)

  11. It's bright, real bright considering the amount of tint in Hector's truck makes it always seem like twilight.

Walking around the boulding, you all notice that there is doors on each side of each wind and two in each sunken courtyard, all containing the same paper.

    For Rent: 2 Bdrm, $1100/mth, 1 bdrm, $850/ mth.

    Contacts J. Vasquez, 847-328-0076 or 395 #2.

  12. Pulling right onto Mulford St just north of the complex Corrie notices the paper inthe window of the entry doors of the complex (maybe a announcment/ vacancy?)

Rollling downt he street hector sees a spot just past the building behind an old alt 90's Ford F150 green with buckets and rakes inthe back.

Getting out there is an alleyway in the back of the building with slant parked cars with the ubquitous North Shore Towing sign posted about six times for non residents.n There is three stairways in the back, seperateing the building into neat thirds, and a dumpster at the base of wach of these. The front has the requiste dead lawn and sidewalk that is actaully shoveld and clear. On each wing of the E are doorways halfway down and staris down to a sunken courtyard and two doorways on each side of the froward facing aspects of the building.. Fir trees are paced tastfully in the yard, and ther is a light on the NW corner of the plex allowing for easy turns onto Ridge. The compex is 3 stories high

    Apartment map(239 Ridge)

  13. )Assuming surface streets again)

The sprawl of humanity on full daylight seems kinda foriegn as you head North up Western Ave. The changing of the ethinicty of the neighborhoods whizz by you like a round the world trip from Lithuiania to mexico, thru india and Sweden into the heart of holocaust survior-land in Skokie as you make a right onto Dobson St. just inside the Evanson border as the neighborhood turns decidely Jamacian. Rolling down wooded streets flanked in leafless maples and oaks you pull onto Ridge Ave, just south of what looks to be an L train run through a valley just below the street level. Pulling onto Ridge you see a brown brick apartment block that is shaped roughly like and E on it's side, the numbers on the block range from 205 to 299, so this must be the place. Sing on the side says Schimmerhorn realty Mgnmt. and an 800 number, and the street is full of cars.

(Where do you want to look for parking?_)

  14. Casualed out and cleaned up for the day, you go the the truck.

The traffic seems to be moving fine down western until you get within 6 blocks of the shop at which point is seems that there is a prade of some sorts going down Cermak.

People, male female and you can only guess, dress in little more than green leather, pvc , latex and leaves are dancing up and down the sides of the streets, tossing candy to the few curious onlookers. A float goes by and has a mock up of a spring paradise theme and a man dressed as some sort of wood nymph rubbing and slapping several women on the float suggestively and there only is one identifier on the float besides happy Spring, the lettes S I N spelled out in green carnations.

As the float drives by the paraders start throwing flyters on the grounds as they pass.

Either way, you can't get less than 4 blocks away to the north from the shop to find a parking place and it looks like this will take some time to clean up.
