  1. Pulling up in the rig Johnny looks over at the Mr. Law types.

"Gents, being that this is a sticky type situation, you won't mind me suiting up in the back before our friend from oz gets his buggies a roolin' now will you?" at which points he shuffles the gear in his duffel to put key offensive items to the top, secured by a few small strips of duct tape.

  2. <tee heee>

WOW!!! I am tickled to see you so stressed. Yes info is needed, I research away until I find a ward vs possession that will work on me and my mundane chums. I also acquire a few 100 gallon drums of napalm to throw down the tunnel every time a rat jumps our way (since fire is the best purifier in the world) and I want to do this all on map via remote....

.... how long will that take (considering that I not only have to find a ward, but also perform it on each guy)?

yeah, we will wait until then

  3. Pack the armour, carbine(with the unreg'd barrell) 5 magazines of 15 rds each 9mm, flashlight, grenades and the usual stuff that I had on from the last post of what I have with me. Although I will bring the duffel and leave the hiking books and transfer the nausea and WP grenades to the duffel and pocket respectively

(we are taking my rig right?)

  4. V3 just didn't fly w/ me.

Now, this is beyond the "It sucks, suck suck sucks" post, now one with a bit of feel.

I feel cheated since it feels dumbed down.

Yeah, I said it, dumbed down, Lowest Common Denominatored, cheated.

The old Interlock rules had issue of style (Roles, no roles, SA issues etc) that we dealt with in ApoStasis and in other spots here, there and everywhere.

It has been rehashed to fit our time lines as they sit (or put in now absolute time line other than the 30 yrs from now... spot).

What it did give was bigger guns, more unbalanced material (really, I tried and it just seemed to fly in the face of reason in a few sessions) and a big fan fiction of the old NPC d'jour that I really don't think anyone other than the creators cared about (really).

It put PCgaming feel to a work of storytelling and imagination. Something that i am sorry to see personally.

Mike Pondsmith, if you read any post or comments, please read this andother here since they are your customers, and yes, we really wanted to throw some ideas and fixes at you, but you wouldn't listen...

...kinda lonely in your ivory tower now isn't it?

Come back, we are all still here!

    Solemnly,

  5. Hey folks,

Well I am dropping off the face of the world for the next two weeks (heading to see my fam and thugs in the windy city)

I know the time ing sucks, waddaya want me to do?

    1-no worries, see ya soon

2- let BW know what I have in plan and have him run me NPC

3- try vainly to post although the connection speed that I will be using will be dial-up (not a good option 4 me)

  6. The Fish Keg

The fish Keg is not only know for thier walk up counter of fish, but also the standing deal of the day (everyday) Half a fried Chicken in a brown paper bag for $2.79. The chatter is constant as well as the flow of all type of people past the counter.

Helsa, the young lady who works the counter at the Fish Keg is Aprrox. 23 blonde and has the biggest chest many have seen in a few years. She is aware of the gawkers and is happy to give them a disapproving sneer and send them on thier way with ot without thier order. This place is frequented by the entire neighborhood on occasion and is a 'safe' zone herer on usually violent Howard Street.

the room is roughly 25'x35' with one entrance inthe front next to the front window.

it is open 10am to 1am.

  7. En route to the apartment to get Corrie's stuff you get a call from public on Hectors phone

"Hector, fortenot has been compromised, someone jsut caught his accounting and he is outta the world until it blows over. Meet the Russian at the Fish Keg tonight down the street at 5pm. He'll be the one who's overdressed and flirting with the counter girl if I can bet on him.

    Gotta go."

  8. er, Mort, the last comment was made by my guy, Johnny, to Andy at the table, but if ya really wanna talk thru Andy, hey, have fun (I don't know whats up w/ Mark)

Just thought i'd throw that out there

  9. The book was not too bad. and yes, future is now, as if always was. It is just more accessable because of the loss of lag time for info.

Crimals of yesturday are the professionals of today.

Trust me. I know this since it happened to me.

  10. WOW!

Talk about bringing out yer dead lines.

Phipps and I have been gaming together for about a year now, and unofrtunately for us, it's been mainly D&D. CP2020 went off OK last weekend when I ran a 1 shot, but I think the rarity of the books, (although a friend of mine is the downloading pirate of hell found alot of them) just keeps it from being the mode of choice.

If yer Husband wanna talk, you know where I am.

  11. Down and back again you see the run of grey snow, blue exhaust and debris thoughout the city. Grey, cold and running at the speed of money, being faster on some blocks, slower on others.

Corrie arrives to find her apartment fine and unmolested, and thinks that perhaps rolling the bike up into her kitchen for the time being may be a good idea...

    it's 2pm

  12. Out the front door and down tot he street, snot freexing in its customary manner as you rumble down the stairs and onto the road.

    (who is calling the number?)

What are each of you taking?) (full pack, or did ya leave anything?)

the others are waiting paitently... (thanks)

  13. The dry atmosphere in the aprtment has done wonders for dessicating you thawed sinuses as you get ready to embark on the street again. There is the front door throught he building from which you came, and a back door out of the kitchen across the black and white checkered floor and throught the door with the window that has been backed with what looks like about 1 1/2" of bulletproof glass and grommets.

    which way to go?

  14. "He is, and so is my friend that I want you to find, should be another operateive going out to meet him, but I suggest that you give him a ring. Drop my name and he'll respond. I got a call on the other line. Seeya" as a staticy crunch fills the phone in an instant

Public seemed a bit edgy on this phone, wonder who this other operative is?

Ambulance siren sweeps by heading North. Another one bites the dust

  15. OOC: As far as infocomp goes, that'd be another reasearch run through the net (and since there is no computer here, that'd mean a road trip or a call.) Since we are roleplaying and there is no rush on the run, let's see how your intrepid group figures this one out...
