  1. Well... if they piss you off in-game, and you don`t like them, why not? You should talk to the almighty-GM first (just so you don`t f*ck up his plans in a major way!)

    I recommend nice subtle way to kill them off. Poison, or when you are in private, and on paper (so the rest of the group doesn`t know what you are up to. They`ll propably can`t keep the information off-game)

    Hit`em hard, hit`em fast and run like hell!

    (a great hook:some one survived the hit.Chase across the country,lots of wrecked cars and stuff... ain`t gonna happen, if you are the only one fit enough to kill people)

  3. Killing NPCs?? Piece of cake. Killing PCs? Heavy ####. Most of the gamers (I dare to say that) propably never kills another PC. I`ve killed PC in a on-line chat-game (that was a lame backstab and I am not proud of it).

    "I" have killed my former employer. Former cause he is dead now. We had no grunge between us, but "I" did it for money. A bit lame excuse BTW. Go with your instinct. It`ll propably offer some great ROLEplaying.

    How many of you kill PCs?

    Any feelings about it?

  5. Yeah, I heard about the hemb-store today.

    And cannabis IS illegal here, so I wonder...when will the police raid that place?

    My addictions? Pepsi Max and this new, sweet babe...ADSL...I love my line...graurrrrr....and RPGs.Music.

    I don`t drink,or smoke. I`ve never touched to drugs, but I know people who uses`em. Marihuana I think...

  6. The thing I have been pondering... Why everybody run and act like it is the last day of their life?! In LARPs I mean...

    I personally try to sit and play, chat, eat cookies while I should be hunting vampires and stuff. Why they think that they have to accomplish their missions or plots? If they want to own a big car someday, why they walk around asking  "you don`t happen to know any good car dealers, or you don`t happen to own a big car?"

    Did I make my point?

    :uzi:   =Bullet=>  not so active LARPer.

  7. To the topic: In my games the characters tend to be ordinary professionals/wannabe-professionals. Things normaly get out of hand, so they don`t have the same life situation when few game sessions have passed than they had in the beginning of the game.

    If characters have ordinary dreams,passions,fears and stuff I consider it good roleplaying.

    And last. This has nothing to do with the topic, it just popped in my mind while reading this. From my early "RPG"

           Professions: Mage

                            Warrior

                            Bard

                            Bandit

                            Sheriff

                            Farmer

                            Dwarf

                   ...whatta!?!

     "yes... I am a professional dwarf. I`m going to chop down some evil orcs, if you don`t mind..."

    :D

    :uzi:         =Bullet=>    Dwarf

  8. Well...yes. It is more activity than a game. It is about acting. Feeling like your character feels. Seeing what your character sees. It is roleplaying in its finest scale. Of course you have those tossers who wants superhyper-powerful character etc and there is almost no way to stop that powerplayer when the game is on, and of course you can`t do all the things you can do in a normal rpg.

    But the feeling... adrealin rushes in. There is a gang coming towards you. You squeesh your pistols grip and BOOM! you are dogmeat! How fun is THAT!?  :D

    :uzi: =Bullet=>  :rocket:

  9. Bugger...I don`t even know what that means, and I can`t go worst...Well,I`ll take your word for it. So it is Liberace Gay?

    OK...

    Not Liberan Gay?

    Not Rebuplican Gay?

    Or Green Gay?

    I am typing nonsense again...must take more medicine... :D

    :uzi:  =PillBullet=>        :confused:

  10. LARPing is kind of acting, but you don`t have a script. You improvise trough the game (which usually takes about 4-8 hours). The GM writes your character (in Finland, at least). Every character has (usually) one or two main "plots" which depends on "counter"-players (silly choice of word,I know...) who are in the same "plot". You usually have few "sub-plots" (unless you are a hang-around, or its just weird game or something...)

    So in the game you ROLEplay. You usually don`t get experience points or stuff (unless its bigger game, or saga or sh*t like that). There is no rolling dies or stuff like that. If we have a melee fight, then we fight with boffers or with latex weapons (soft sword,canes,maces,clubs,daggers,bats,etc),if its hand-to-hand combat then it will be slow motion fighting and if its with guns, then it`ll be with airsofts (or just saying "bang bang" or "BURRRRRRRSSSSSTTTTT!!!")

    In here we usually ROLEplay rather than ROLLplay. There is LARPs with lots of rules and stuff, but here in Oulu we use the NoRules-rules. And I hope Chrysalis will translate this mumbo-jambo, so you get it.Right? Noooo...

    :uzi:   =Bullet=>    :knife:  mumbo-jumbo-king!

  11. Ach...but DragoonCav, like Gringo said and what I agreed... you can roleplay it different. Lets try it someday. When we have a group of players and we are starting a new game, lets take a NPC, cut off the crap that is ment to make it "person" and copy it. Then we hand it over to all our players (they`ll propably do a all-solo group...no I`m not bitter *grumble grumble*) and let see how it works out. Neh? Anybody?

    How did it work Gringo?

    :uzi:  =Bullet=> Lets not rollplay,lets roleplay for crying out loud! There is a system to the system. Lets f*ck it up and play!

    and D&D says no to roleplaying. It is considered bad to interact with other players!!!

  12. Ach, finally I understood that Perk/etc stuff. Thanks Darkmonki (I am lazy reader  :D excuses!)

    And it sounds frigging good!

    Skill packs are good ("roll Awareness" a moment passes, player is looking her character sheet "I don`t have it!" "too bad,mister Solo... you are good as dead.")

    Ach...crappy example again. Shoot me. Please.

    I want to play...sh*t

    :uzi:       =Bullet=>       :knife:

  13. Bloody marvellous... we here in Finland won`t see Residen Evil in theaters (at least our wonderful,muthafokin Finnkino isn`t going to show it in near future...goddamn it!)

    I saw the trailer. It was nice looking, and would like to see them whole movie.

    DAMN YOU FINNKINO!!!

    :uzi:   =Bullet=> I hope zombies will eat everyone working for that evil mega-corporation called Finnkino!!

  14. I totally agree with you Gringo-my-man.

    There is just nasty examples stepping on toes.

    We made same kind of characters (me and mi girlfriend), mine just happened to be more "powerful" (munchie), so it almost wrecked her gameplay experience, cause we were doing same kind of stuff, but I were better in those things. (And she is just little bit experienced than a newbie, I am played since first grade)

    Roleplaying saved this crappy example.

     :uzi: =Bullet=> full of examples... it makes me worry

  15. In army, you got your infantry, medics and communication dudes (don`t know the correct term, I haven`t been in the army yet), so... They got different kind of training. I`d be more of solo than a netrunner, for I don`t know jack-sh*t about computers, and I bet I would whoop those netrunners asses in a fair fight.

    :uzi: =Bullet=>

  16. They can always ROLEplay, neh? :D

    Yep, I ran/run this game. Players wanted to have some eveyday action. We played three or four time. Then they wanted ACTION! Gotted bored I guess...

    They had month to prepare a plan and stuff for this big-time robbery (I used a little modified adventure from the back of new-print corebook "Things done proper"

    That was/is a game with little/no action.

    But then again, fixer and prowler had something to do (and I managed to get something for our little solo. He had to clean himself up  :D )

    :uzi: =Bullet=> almost off the topic, and totally useless!

  17. Uh, some heavy sh*t going on here.

    "As a cyberpunk, you grab technology by the trhoat and hang on." That`s the corebook definition of cyberpunk. The R-Tal view.

    Well.. now I am not sure about myself.

    Cyberpunk is personal. Either you feel you are cyberpunk or you don`t.

    Oh sh*t.

    :uzi: =Bullet=>

  18. I like "roles."

    You propably don`t end up stepping on someones toes IRL.

    I like it when everybody in my games has something to do, and hate it when this ubertechie-netrunner-solo kills everybody, repairs guns and crack few codes at the same time he makes a few cups of coffee.

    Not in my game! But I`ve seen a character who was almost like that. Only thing that saved me from boredom was MY ubersolo who hacked and slashed like raving maniac.

    But I agree with those who don`t like "roles", they can limit your roleplaying.

    I should just shut up and say "I agree with all of you"

    :uzi: =Bullet=> stupid blabbermouth

  19. If I may ask: Why do you carry guns?!? Not just you Phipps, all of you?

    Yeah... you are a asshole :D

    :uzi: =Bullet=> calls someone asshole and tries to get away with it just smiling...not so bright boy...

  20. When somebody says "Grow up" angels and fairies and little cyberpunkers die.

    Its like calling roleplaying dum.

    Or childish.

    I think its better option to play than to do most of the stuff my aged do.

    So... I shall never grow old (I hope) just bigger (uups...rewind...I don`t want to bigger...just taller  :D )

    :uzi:  =Bullet=> aimed to safe childrens!

  21. I hear you. Except guns kill people, flashlights don`t (unless used correctly  ;) ).

    Forgive me, but I rather be a separate piece in the system than a anonymous wheel in the middle of wheels (of nothing). And that means that you have to know how to defend yourself (being different isn`t always easy, as it isn`t easy to be fat. And being different fats`o? well, good thing is that I know ways to bash`em silly.)

    And if that means that I look and think like cyberpunker would look and think then I consider myself cyberpunk. I don`t like to fight, but if somebody hits (or tries to hit me) I`ll defend myself. Fortunately I don`t have to carry a piece around...

    :uzi: =Bullet=> counter-rant

    and sorry about your "gibson" brother...
