  1. found a basic set of it in a local army dump/sports shop.

basic set was the yellow/black grip and the 12 grams co2 capsule chamber, and 3 cylinders for 8 x 4.5 mm pellets. and a nice suitcase that had room for all things.

it is a licenced thing (drivers licence is copied and put in the archive of the shop)

cost for the basic one was about 370 euro.

the grip can be replaced, but that will cost about 90 euro, and the stabilizing rod with weights under the capsule holder/pressure chamer is about 20.

the CO2 capsule chamber can be replaced by a normal air pressure chamber, but you need a conversion set for it, and that will cost about 130 euro. then you can fill the chamber with a handpump like a bycicle pump, or a compressor, or a big gasbottle with the appropriate pressure (300 BAR).

i keep it basic at the moment, just because you can fire 60 rounds with one 12 grams CO2 capsule, and those are about 90 cents each. the pellets come in tins of 500 pieces. choose your own for that

  2. then we all need just a little sex in the beginning (who has parents? they produce kids that grow up and think about CBP2020).

and for personal practice of it, i appear to live in some sort of vacuum. and i don't bother to change a thing about it soon.

  3. Why not using something like tactics or bluffing yourself in?

toget an imprisoned person out i'd at least try to consider this:

first run, go in as the coffee machine maintainance personell, and then modify the coffee machines with a slow working tranquilizer so the cops would get a bit dull and slower in the responses. (you could do the bagels and donuts too if you like)

then pull out and return after lunch with forged papers and uniforms to bluff yourself in again and behave nice and with at least some authoroty. then if you have "freed" the person you want to have, do some small talk with the commander while your friends escort the "prisoner" to a slightly modified (and "borrowed") police transport vehycicle and then have a small team of hired people disguised as policemen doing the escort to safety.

then leave it to the descretion of the players how to get rid of the cars.

but i don't exactly know how things like this would be handeled with a slightly rabid teammate that is exceptionally trigger happy...

  4. i happen to own a somewhat awkward looking but reasonably effective CO2 airgun, looks like it is a toy, but it is a thing that came with a booklet about safety and regulations. a very good idea in my opinion.

and the ultimate one (i might upgrade my version to something like this one day)

i have to post a warning that these are not paintball, but real 4.5 mm air/CO2 pressure guns, and very accurate in the use.

  5. innocence? here?!

oh my... you did bring your microscope didn't you?

as for alien implants, i have seen the result at very close distance, and it is not always as pretty as things could have been

  6. indeed the artificial gravity isn't that hard, but you need a good stomach for it, because the easiest way is the "spacewheel" that revolves around it's axis. and depending on the speed you will get a better acceleration the further you get from the center.

Naviation would be the biggest problem, together with the powersupply if you have a set of solar panels aimed at the sun, or you need to cover the entire hull with them.

  7. absolutely everything is considered dangerous unless proved otherwise, and then it needs a safety label.

i wonder if nanotech really is as much as a threat as people think it is (in the mentioned article) because mankind has survived virusses, bad food, smoking tabacco, vulcano eruptions, and lots of other things.

and what doesn't kill us on the fist go, will have more trouble on the second go, we humans adapt as well to our environment, and develop survival strategies, sometimes without knowing it.

  8. i think i will unmess my head, finish my education, get a job, move out to live on my own, try to find someone to love (but those things ate more up for the long term)

all in all i'm thinking of starting to live again, nd spend less time at my pc, and more time with people.

  9. I don't agree with Thumper on certain parts, mainly because i wrecked my car about a year ago, and it also became totall loss.

first thing is indeed that your doughter (Dogsoldier's, not Thumper's) needs to know that she is lucky enough to get out alive, second thing is that she also needs the courage again to get on the road. best thing to do that (for me it was) is to get up and drive again. my crash was at 120 kmph/80 mph on a highway, at 3.30 am, and the same day at 10 am, i was driving to the towing company to salvage the radio from that car (my father was with me on that trip).

main thing i'm saying is that the crash indeed may be her fault, but does that mean she never may have an opportunity to prove that she can do things right?

Being able to express your thoughts to others instantaniously without having to type them out/ read them.

Someone is working on that curretly, and it's looking to be rather successful so far.

A big stick usually works quite fine, thank you

but that only works for the more "basic" transmission of opinions

  11. Well, i have copied all my cd's to mp3 format on my HD, and i am on dialup as well. every cd here is legally purchased, and the only thing because i have transferred everything is sheer convenience, i run a small jukebox player on the background and run all my songs uninterrupted on my pc/stereo.

the people on dialup usually don't pirate much because it is faster and cheaper to go to a store and buy the actual thing you want.

just my opinion. (i'm soon to be hooked up with adsl, but i don't intend on changing my policy on the buying of material)

  12. i saw a little documentary on return of the king, the cinema version is 3 hours 20 minutes, but peter jackson was referring to an exteded version for the dvd edition that might get up to about 4 to almost 6 hours (he says that cinema audience is different than the home watchers, so the movie is usually split over several evenings)

  13. and overhere, it's stormy weather, rain, sleet, fog, cold and wet half-molten snow. now we need short periods of daylight and you have everything at hand for a decent depression (oh, wait, it is winter already, silly me ;))

but i see no difference between chemical weapon and nuclear bombing (WWII). don't get me wrong, i've got nothing against americans, but i really hate the way US government acts on world's political arena.

to tell you the truth there is a big differance between the nukeing of japan to end WWII and Sadam's poison gassing of his own people. you see when we nuked japan we did not know about what the long term effects where. poison gas is by all acounts a very horrible way to die.

On a historical note, the H-bomb on japan was more to force the japanese emperor to sign the peace with america, and accordingt to the sense of honor/following orders the resistance on the thousends of islands was cancelled, in long term effect it has probably saved a lot of lives as well, becuase there was no more need to fight for every heap of sand that came more than 3 feet above the water.

on saddam himself: i think he is safer in jail with the americans than with his on people at the moment... (i'd give him to the people of iraq, with a couple of feet of rope and an old car, figure out the rest)

nothing in this reply is meant to be harmful, i don't approve violence, but the arrest of saddam is a major achievement.
