hellooo. sorry I haven't been on in ages - internet cafes are expensive 'round my new area. a lot has happened - I fell into my old depression again when I first moved in with my boyf. it was a difficult time, the fear of loss really took over my life. & I was being so negative that I didn't realize how absoultely lucky I am to have someone so special. the worst things was that I hurt my boyf so much when he saw me in such a bad state. I've learnt my lesson now & I'm trying to curb my jealousy, it got so bad that every time my boyf left the flat I thought he was leaving me for good for some other lady.
I did get promoted to manageress for about a month & then I got demoted 'cause it was too much like hard work.
as for my hair, I now have a mohawk.

I got hold of FLCL in a bookshop yesterday & I am addicted. I've heard loadsa good reviews about it & I must say that I agree with them!

I have the Fischerspooner #1 album & it was truly terrible. but, I suppose that living up to Emerge was too hard.
I do like the Emperor Norton artists - Electrocute are my favourite. Miss Kitten just isn't that catchy for meee.

well I had my interview & got offered the job on the spot. it's with a charity shop buuut I'll be making as much money an hour as my current manageress. yay. just gotta find a flat nyow.

I was really entertained, it was one of the best movies I've seen in a long time. for no reason at all. you know, it was all I thought it would be... funny, predictable. no dissapointments here.
-
I've seen it - it was interesting, & gripping in places. I wasn't impressed at the ending. it seemed a bit too easy.
-
I applied for a nu job recently! & I'm really optimistic - it's a shop assistant in a charity shop & I think I've got it in the bag!!! I know I shouldn't count my chickens before they hatch buuut I have a well good feeling. also, if I get it I'll be able to move into a nu falt before Xmas! which is another reason to stay positive!
-
my newest additions are:
Guitar Vader - I am so lovin' the JSR soundtrack!!!
Nekromantix - no description needed or where have you been???
-
yeah - I was about to write Crushed Velvet Apocalypse is one of my favourites. they've also got a live album which I haven't heard buuut think it could be good. Any Day Now is my all-time favourite though.

it was the least busiest gig I've seen at Slimes, buuut hugely enjoyable. also, I'm a bit shorter than averaged Slimelight members [thanks to their platforms] so I'm usually pushed/stepped on when I go there, however last night I witnessed the most polite & relaxed audience ever. there wasn't even half as many of the goth posers that usually haunt the place. most people were stoned though.
they're pretty incredible musicians, & a complete joy to listen to [i only heard half their set thanks to a wrong junction turn-off on the m25!]

Quote (Bookwyrm @ Oct. 08 2003,00:26) Excited, then? probably the best news since... [i did actually have a few minutes to think about this] [but I came up empty]. anyways, it'll probably be the last gig I go to before I move out.

Quote (Dog Soldier @ Oct. 20 2003,04:57) A 20 year old guy named Jacob. Seems my 16 year old daughter has been at his apartment for the last 6 hours with her cell phone turned off. d00d if I was that girl, my Mum would be putting me on her list of people to kill

Quote It's called challenge, when you combine it with most girls natural desire to be helpful the mystery isn't so deep. how do you mean challange??? a challenge doesn't sound helpful to me.

me & my boyf were discussing this a few months ago when we were watching the CardCaptor movie: in it Sakura fancies her brother's best mate, who's a shy sensitive geek. my boyf said, "don't you think it's weird that the creators are pairing Sakura with a geek? do you think it's 'cause he's 'suitable husband material'?"
I didn't know how to reply. but, I think there's some truth to that statement. that, & also [i think everyone here has noticed that] what was considered 'alternative culture' a few years ago is gradually becoming more & more acceptable in 'mainstream culture'. misfts are pretty cool in today's society.
maybe these girls think geeks are cool. &/or maybe they're after some security.
