  1.

    No offense to Robert Jordan...

Okay no one mentioned Jordan but honestly I find him too wordy and something about this reply reminds me of him.

Yeah I'm not a fan of Jordan either, but I am excited that Brandon Sanderson is taking over the reins of Wheel of Times series, he is an awesome word smith. Check out The mistborn series. I know its not CP but it still rocks.

  2. Yeah I love the short stories too. I'm actually in love with the entire Sprawl trilogy but I thought the bridge trilogy wasn't really great. Could just be me. I didn't find the characters as interesting.

Sorry for brief absences. School and all. I'll post ASAP.

I thought that the bridge trilogy was great, Gibson finally started to bring his stories down to reality. I really like the trilogy because of how plausible it could be. Maybe I am just not a big fan of the eighties, as others on this forum are.

Welcome back Datadream, hope school was well.

  3. Yeah that would be good to join our characters. Not sure how you and datadream are planning it, but the Skum Bucket might be a good place. Lesslie will be there tonight(game time)for drinks and tomorrow night(game time)for the show.

A little back ground for the Skum Bucket. It is owned by Charlie Chuck, Up Chuck to his friends. He is an old type punk rocker, turned business man after being harassed for being queer at a Spinal Tap Revival show. He came up with his business plan while in jail for two years for stabbing his harassers in the neck after the show when they tried to curb stomp his boy friend, John "Two Face" Walker. Need less to say the Skum Bucket is a homo bar, but they allow heteros as well( how ever reluctantly) as long as every one gets along they don't get the dogs sicked on them. The dogs are cybernetic monstrosities that are rumored to have human brains in cyborg dog bodies, these rumors are unfounded and unproven. The dogs use strategy and the Skum Buckets internal monitoring system to work as a cohesive team. They have dragged a number of people out of the club using their teeth and what ever they can get a hold of on the offender. The dogs are so self aware that when they "pounce" they don't leave a mark unless lethal force is required. The dogs are friendly to all of the patrons, and are constantly petted by the regulars (who some time buys them drinks, when the dogs are off the clock.) They lay out is basically a large abandoned factory with a bar to the left side from the entry door, the stage is directly opposite the front door. the bath rooms are directly opposite the bar.

  4. Have fun Eraser, mountains are fun.

Kabukiman that is cool, we got ourselves an international game going. Well since we have more players in this game, I might as well ask you all something that I've already talked to datadream about. My idea was to take all of our posts and edit them a bit to put them into a readable format and make a pdf book out of what we will have. Every one will get their respective credit, and I was wanting to put it under the General Public License. (still have to read more about it, but that is the idea right now.)

Let me know what you all think, and this is whole affair is going to be AWESOME.

p.s. See Data I can be sappy too.

  5. Thanks for the info, that has helped me decide on a more tailored clientele. Various higher crust customer base that enjoys risk and the experience of slumming in a sealed and air filtered cab on the back of a bike. Of course it is mostly a front for drug dealing and information brokering but that is strictly ooc knowledge right now.

  6. What is the street traffic like? Is it heavily auto's, foot traffic or bikes and such. I assume that a pedicab can get around New York fairly well, all be it a tad slower at times depending on the amount of large death machines(cars and trucks). I assume the air that is breathed is not that healthy, right?

  7. Not to be snarky my self, but 5cm is a whole lot bigger than 20 mm. You did give me a great idea for a random happenstance involving space station wars, and stray bullets. With that out of the way, thank you all for your input. *scribbles furious like in a note book labeled DOOM* All suggestions dully noted.

  8. So I'm developing some story ideas and some house rules for my self, and I've been thinking about the possibilities of either overpowered characters or obnoxious ones at that. I am fond of the idea of a rogue sniper that deals out the punishment, that is a miraculous shot to keep players in line. Yeah I all ways just boost the stats of the npc's, but the image I have in my mind of a warning shot and the character in question getting the feeling that the next one will hit true with a 20mm round fired from a rail gun at unknown distances. That is just beauty to me. So what about you what have you done or would like to do to keep players in line, or just to frak with them.

  9. I've only looked at IU a tiny amount.

Shadow run on the snes is and is allways awesome.

damn near doesn't work on newer systems (I've tried all the cracks too).

try using an emulator, you can find one for any kind of system out there, and the good ones can slow down your machine to make things work right. I remember playing starflight 1 with out the speed turned way down on a mondern system. It was like space ants on meth.
