  1. Thanx for the review. I liked the first issue of the comic book, but I'll probably pass on this novel.

Ok, so I bought the book and finished reading it.

You see characters that will appear in Deus ex 1. The bad guys and their plans are describe.

It's well written, but quite predictable and not original. Very far from snow crash, river of the gods, neuromancer, or even GIS manga.

I like the way that technology is presented; the fight scenes aren't boring.

It's more a techno-thriller than cyberpunk. Actually, like some guy said, it seemed more a Dan Brown

    book with high-tech than cyberpunk.

If your a fan of the game read it, but you can pass away otherwise.

  2. WOW. This is amazing stuff.

Two quick questions: what exactly are you talking about when you say "biogens"? Also, what are these "Anabaptists" you mention?

Oh, also: the Carbon Plague and the manifestation of Hexite-based powers (such as those of Bolters, Tinmen, etc)... I have a hard time imagining that these could result from an "overboosted" immune system. How do you rationalize this idea?

This game's trailer footage is just about the most Cyberpunk thing I've ever seen. Except that it's a little light on Netrunning and a little heavy on combat. But still, overall... WOW.

We need more movies like this. Makes me wish I actually liked to play video games.
