QUOTE (Darthmurph @ May 17 2004, 06:51 PM) Was she in Last of the Mohicans? No.
That was Jodhi May. When Last Of The Mohicans was *released* (i.e., it was in production well before that year) Kiera was 7.

Thread resurrection, cos I'm bored.
Just got Juno Reactor's Shango, and it's piggin' excellent! Especially Pistolero and Master Of The Universe.
Oh, and more Harmstation on the way, too. Got 12 new tracks in the can if I can a decent site to host the damn stuff and somewhere that sells CDs now MP3.com's gone bye-bye...
Hmm... Must use this new smiley as it looks like a ninja...
And I've updated the Harmstation site a wee bit, too, for those interested. There's a new piccie of me on the "memory" section. Took it with my digital camcorder, and that's as large a photo as it takes still. Weird...

Music
in Network 54
Anti-pop does seem to be the norm around here.
This week, I have been mostly listening to:
Harmstation
Recent Gary Numan (Hybrid, Pure, Exile)
Latest free CD from Mixmag
New VAST CD
Boards of Canada
Autechre
Future Sound of London
Front 242
Meat Beat Manifesto
Audio Bullys
And that's why I never have time to come to this board anymore...

We might if we knew who you were...

Good to see SLF are still around. Alternative Ulster's one of my fave tracks EVAR...

10, 9 & 1, though these days none of the above. I'm still interested, but I'm way out of the loop-de-loop. Doesn't mean I'm cool or anything, by any stretch of the imagination. Were I not married, I'd be back in England reading a comic with dice in hand in a tent at a Renewal event right now...

This monkey's been typing with a myoelectric arm for 12 years now. That monkey's got nothing on me.

Wish they had bands playing there when I used to go...
Moan, moan, whine, whine, my glorious, yet dubious past is all behind me now, sob, sob, moan, moan, whine, whine...

Has to be Johnny Mnemonic and the D&D movie. No idea why on the latter, but I found out the other day that Val Kilmer was originally cast for Johnny in JM, which would have made the film a much bigger hit, methinks.
Shee-it, they could've cast my left testicle as Johnny and it would have been a bigger hit.
I wish I knew why I sometimes feel like watching D&D, as an indicator of a perfectly good waste of money and talent.
Maybe it's Thora Borch in that black dress...

SLF roXXors...
And I'm happy to see I'm not the only one who bought the Electric Six album...
-
Bunch of CDs I just bought...
Autechre - Chiastic Slide
Pitchshifter - www.pitchshifter.com
Gary Numan - Exile Extended
Boards of Canada - Music Has the Right to Children
BT - Emotional Technology
Gary Numan - Hybrid
and... [ahem]
Harmstation - onepointfive
All bloody brilliant in my opinion. Even though I'm currently listening to radioioambient from radioio.com and desperately trying to get written down as many magic rules for my fantasy rpg as possible before sleep takes over....

What most people fail to see is that Madonn'as shows are based on Burlesque. It's not a homosexual thing to her, it's part of a show. She's a groom, and Brit and Chris were brides. Obviously they're going to kiss.
What I'm more disgusted about is the "outrage" from parents who still haven't figured out that their 10 year olds shouldn't be watching a channel whose programming is dictated by the whims of horny 19 year-olds, and who haven't figured out that Mum, not Britney, should be their child's role-model.

How much for a new torso?

Thanks for the support, guys! I will add more content soon, I promise!

Not sure what I was expecting, but seeing as you really have to answer your own questions with practically the same answers each time (what do you do? I hide in a hole. I wear black. I say nothing. Hey! Whaddaya know! You're Avoidant! Really! I thought I was just a quiet goth...)

When I get a new soundcard I'll take a listen to these links. Shapethrower I've heard of. Though I've never heard of IDM being referred to as standing for Irregular Dance Music. Like I said, I was kinda working within a brief, more FSOL than Squarepusher or Mu-ziq, though I'm not ruling out heading in those kinds of directions; still testing some waters.
Cheers for the links though. I'll defly check out...

Sweet! Glad you like the stuff, Malek...
Once I get my new soundcard (I think I broke my old one making this stuff) there's more on the way, like at least 7 more tracks for a new even cheaper CD.
Hafta admit, though, never heard of 1200 Techniques. What do they sound like? Apart from Harmstation, of course...

Thanks Chrys! I wasn't expecting praise!
I just wish I had more in the way of content to offer... Maybe I'll throw some more up there today...

Okay, here's a plug for my latest musical endeavour. Harmstation, a kind of cross between Vangelis and Altern-8 was formed to create some background music for a friend's cyberpunk-esque computer game, which incidentally, is based on some short stories and RPG things I did a very long time ago. I thought they turned out good enough to actually release them on mp3.com in CD format.
So anyways, to cut to the chase, here's some choonz, let us know what you think. Would you use these as background in your game? Would you dance to these? Do you get any kind of mood or feeling off these?
Anything? Bueller?
Here's the link
For more information on the computer game my friend is currently designing, called Rain City, go here and click on Rain City.
Cheers y'all...

Yeah, I actually bookmarked it. The usages are pretty darned funny...
"Check out my partner in his hoo-ride!"
Where I live, "partner" has a meaning that Baptists wouldn't want their kids even thinking about, let alone learning on the internet...

Well, I've had this up there for a while, and I don't *think* I've mentioned it here before, but I'd like some opinions while I'm trying to build it up.
There's some very brief background notes for my old campaign world up there, links to some of my old short stories based in that world, and an attempt to create new rules for NPC creation for CP2020. The rules can be found under Datafiles by clicking down on the MetroVirus Rules menu. There's some characters from the stories outlined using the NPC rules there, too.
Let me know what y'all think and if I get some good feedback, I might just keep working at this puppy...

So... Yeah... Apparently Gibson didn't like the way FASA presented the kind of future he created.
Come to think of it he never really liked any of the games. Which is kinda funny, cos most of the gamers never really liked the movies that came from his books, either, and he wrote one of them.
And that's all I have to say about that, Nort and KH, on-topic or not...

Wow... Just noticed I finally made the rank of Cyberpunk!
I feel so honoured now...

Any chance we can get a generic playlist? That way we don't waste our bandwidth loading tracks for download that you already have? I have a bunch of techno/industrial mp3's I'd love to start my own Live365 station with, but now I've just bought a house and I can't afford it...
