  1. Hey, if your willing to try playtesting online, via OpenRPG (www.openrpg.com check it out) i may be interested-you'll most likely have pretty good luck finding people in the OpenRPG community willing to help playtest  :D

  2. Well, i tried to get the OpenRPG ball rolling a while back, and came to the conclusion that if i want a campaign on OpenRPG, i'll have to run it-so i will. (Yes, i posted in the VftE Online gaming forum as well).

I am currently gauging interest for a campaign, and am willing to give any interested players plenty of help with the OpenRPG program (which is a stunning Roleplaying tool).

The style/setting of the game itself would be decided on once i have a few players, so that it's the most enjoyable for the party.

Anyone who is interested plaease post here, or email me at lordohchaos@hotmail.com

  4. *Nods* i agree on the Ithaca-though i'd personally go Remington, or perhaps a sawn down Mossberg "Shorty" heh. However, recently i found an interesting weapon that i'm considering replacing the M79 with, basically a pump action over and under grenade launcher, 4 shots in under barrel tube and has the look of a shotgun, only bigger.

    Miltech Arms Thumper 40mm Grenade Launcher Heavy +1/0 N/L P Varies 4 2 ST 175m

New to the market and fresh from its amazing trail run at the 2020 Knob Creek Big Boom show is the Thumper. This grenade launcher is unlike any other currently on the market. The design, amazingly resembling that of a pump action shotgun, is a boon to solos that are looking to pack some extra firepower. The folding stock allows for concealability under most long coats, but accuracy is affected by folded stock. As an added bonus, the multiple types of 40mm ammo make for more variety during an op.

    * Note - The shotgun configuration allows users to substitute rifle skill for heavy weapons when using. The configuration is also ideal for smartchipping.

    Cost 350 eb

  5. Alright, well first off in response to Thumper:  Iirc the way the shell was actually used was that it would fire and after said rotation i believe a charge would go off in the back of the shell firing the Shot pellets (not positive on this however, but i believe thats how it worked, not like a traditional shotgun).

And in response to Stephane: Thanks for the info, wasn't sure on the actual ballistics of the shell, however i doubt the recoil would be too much of a problem, i've fired shotguns-they aren't too bad, and if its in the heavy body of a grenade launhcer that would lessen the recoil as well, so that isn't a concern.

Its true it would be easier to trsck me, and this was more of a style choice-plus its almost worth it for the intimidation value.

Thanks for the responses guuys, if anyone else feels the need to add anything let me know.

  6. Hey, i am interested in a character of mine carrying an old Single shot M79 40mm GL, typically loaded with a Buckshot round, as his main mode of defense.  I am positive these are ,were, and most likely still will be, made in 2020.

I'm wondering is anyone has found any or has any stats for them.  So far the closest thing i have found are the Flechette rounds, which i'm considering using, they are as follows:

Flechette: This grenade affects a conical area 2m wide and 25m deep starting at 3 m in front of the shooter. Each target in the pattern takes 1D6+1 hits at 2D6 AP damages. $50

Wondering if people consider this a decent representation, or is anyone has a better set of stats for what i'm looking for.

  7. Not to mention the advantage of being unnaffected by EMP based weaponry, which the characters carried in paranoia that its would be cyborgs/heavily cybered anti-heroes (well, kinda) that i'd throw at them.

  8. i completely agree.  I took one of my parties a pretty long time ago, as part of an Anti-Corp team (it was a long term, high-ish power campaign) that got on Militechs bad side.

They were all highly Cybered, but in the climax were almost completely destroyed by Militechs new age super-soldiers, a mix of Genetic modification, bringing them up under the perfect training situation, discipline, etc. Then add in a good amount of Bioware, and some selective internal cyberware (some chips, smartgun links, pain editors, etc) and you have almost complete fleshies that can stand toe to toe with most type of Cyborgs (if armed decently)

  9. Hey, i posted this in the Online recruiting board, but figured it may get more attention here.

But anyway, i'd very much advise everyone here check out an awesome internet gaming tool i've personally been using for some time.  The program is OpenRPG and is simply amazing.

It supports an almost unbelieveable range of dice formats, has a huge amount of information tools, and supports every gaming system i've ever seen.

It also comes along with a great community of gamers, only problem is i can't seem to find a good Cyberpunk GM, so i decided to recruit a few from here :p

Seriously though, i'd advise everyone to check this out, best real-time online RPG platform i've ever used (and i've been using for almost 2 years now).

    There website is OpenRPG

And, if you grab a hold of the program, i'd be more then happy to shows you the ins and outs of the program-heh, anything to expand the Cyberpunk playerbase within the community (and more importantly the GM base ;) ).  Just drop me an emails at Lordohchaos@hotmail.com

    Enjoy

  11. The result of an influx in the number of Israeli refugges as a united middle east moved in on Israel, this is the largest Jewish concentration in the United States, almost 300,000 Men women and children.,...its also the best armed and best regulated.  Almost a new state, it is run by its own "government" and has a regulated militia (well armed with albeit out of date Israeli Military weaponry).

The police rarely patrol the area, and it (no longer) has many enemies.  It is basically self-contained, and for the most part tolerated.

Several well known Solo's and Fixers also work out of the area, several ex-Mossad and Israeli Special FOrces men often contract themselves for work, and there are many who can get you in touch with various IMI weaponry

  12. Hey-Not sure if your still looking for any players, but i'd be willing to join up if you still need someone.

I'd be most interested in playing one of the nomads, as i have no idea who John Smith is, and would prefer not to have to recreate his former personality :p
