Have you been reading Errant Story?
Anyhow, welcome.

Odd name, admittedly, but I'm going to try to shoehorn this into my schedule, along with everything else.

Well, someone sounds bitter.

Poor puppy. I can think of things to cheer you up....Wait, you said you didn't feel like getting laid. Damnation.

No, it's just plain weird. And scary. Ah. In that, 'Oh Lord, save me from your followers,' sort of way.

Alright. I admit it. This book was not as good as Cryptonomicon. However, once you get past the painful introductory first section, it's still really good. The last two-thirds are, in fact, excellent, but that first-third drags the average down to merely really good.

I ain't letting you anywhere near that little prude. She might infect you....

TV? What's that? I watch movies, but nothing else really.
Not only do I not have time, but most of what's on, I just don't like anymore.

Rocky Horror run! I've got brand new boots to try out and a friend who's never been arrested before.

Only real divisions I've ever seen.

This got me thinking back on all the stupid stuff I did when I was 16. As long as I got my work done, I could get away with anything..... Not really all it's cracked up to be. I wish somebody had pointed out to me all the stupid #### I was doing.

Have you noticed any Geek Groupies?
Mostly girls, they tend to date major geeks, though they can be border line preppie. These girls (and sometimes guys) are not geeks themselves, but every moment is spent with geeks. Most of them are not poser geeks *giggle*, but they do ask for computer / techie help on a semi-regular basis.
Some gradually become geeks, joining their boyfriend's RPG or whatever, but some never do.
It's weird, I've been finding more and more of these people. Observed so far is a ratio of about 1 groupie to every four or five geeks.
Yes, I know that I notice the oddest things.

I do six of the above... I'm not spilling the beans about which though.
And why the heck isn't SCA / Ren Faire type activities up there?

I'm headed thrift store - crawling this weekend in vague hopes of new things to wear, like a trench coat... I do love thrift stores.

I found black (fake) leather boots for $20 bucks.... I love Wal-mart. Not nearly what I was looking for, but much better price wise.

Your soul is worth £10306. For your peace of mind, 77% of people have a purer soul than you.
Wow. And to think, I sold my soul for a Milky Way candy bar back in third grade.

Those boots hit the general idea, but for $300, I could skip out on this and fly to see Rockwolf. Can't quite afford that and can't raise the money either. Oh well. At least I can drool over them.

Batgear Beyond has a huge bunch of links. So far I've found boots in black, white, red, blue, clear, pink and silver. Nobody has big clunky boots in purple. *tear* Dammit. I'm getting rather close to just going with black boots and a back trench. It's a real shame too. Now I'll have to change the entire costume design, because the outfit underneath is all black, and now I'll need to go see if I can find it in purple. The things we'll do to look cool / scare people / win bets.

Two days until the new Neal Stephenson novel comes out. I'm jumping up and down! Admittedly it isn't cyberpunk, but at least it's Stephenson. The name of the book is "Quicksilver"; it's to be the first of a trilogy that deals with the ancestors of characters from "Cryptonomicon." One might say I'm very excited about this.

Nah. I'm trying to *ahem* behave. I've even started to leave most of the weaponry at home when I go places. Instead, I'm taking the other direction with it. I've got a few outfits that may get me tossed out of class...

I'm trying to find a purple trenchcoat and purple boots... I've found a few, but nothing near what I'm looking for. If anybody has some good sites, let me know, please.

All I know that is if the sword is sheathed, it is considered a concealed weapon. Knife-wise, most states in the U.S. have a 3 inch legal limit, and some places simply consider swords to be extra long knives.

God, I love Rocky Horror! I went with a group of ten and out of the costume and virgin contests somebody from our group won all but one of the contests. I'll try to get some of the pictures. Three of the guys were in drag, two girls wore nothing but lingerie, the rest of us girls dressed in our sluttiest skirts and shirts, and one of the other guys was the pimp for all of us.
