  1. Hello.

    I lurk.....

I also dig the Mutant Chronicles (Doomtroopers) universe more than anything else, but I'm familiar with a bunch of other RPG's and Cyberpunk-related themes, hell I even know things like Steam-Punk.

I also like Gibson's work alot.

Now to go back to finishing my current project....

The organized counter-culture movement, here's a little info on us Click right here, and our sister organization, which is also The Kult  . Herez0r

Anyway, it was started by Sean Kennedy, Whose older rants rants are here Whose info is here, And who is on Rantradio .

And I just thought you all might be interested. I do not mean this as advertisement or anything, I mean, I really don't benefit from you clicking any of those links at all, just though it might appeal to some of you, so please take some time to check this stuff out. If you want.

  4. I've been listening to Brujeria for ages, it's my favorite band and the first real death metal I ever heard. I actually know a place in LA where they have ties to the band, they get band merchendise on a regular basis and talk to'em every so often. It's pretty crazy though, you have to ask for it, and even then they're sort of defensive about mentioning anything....

  6. I'm a pretty avid concert goer, so I'll post the last two shows I've seen.

    Gwar

Where and when it was: Denver, Colorado: The Ogden

    A link to the band/artists website: http://www.gwar.net/

Any highlights/lowlights of the gig: The entire show rocks, in your lifetime, if you love showmanship and theatrics (and ultra-gore with adolescent humor thrown in). My personal favorite parts were when this alien came out and began beating up on some of the band members. Then Oderus and Sly went at it with their big-ass blades and maces. Gor-Gor (Their pet T-rex) came out and ate the alien then went after Sly, she put her sword throguh it's head, pouring gore into the crowd (colored water, there's tons of that at their concerts). In the beginning an effigy of Saddam Hussein came out and they ripped the flesh off of his face and began eating it. Later on, another of Mike Tyson came out and they slashed his hands off, pouring another fountain of gore into the crowd. Near the end Sly did this awesome fire juggling act which set the entire stage on fire to end it. People who don't even liek their music show up for their shows just to watch the stuff that goes on stage. Just make sure you don't mind getting wet.

Any listening recommendations for those who might not have heard of the band/artist before. Thier newest album, "Violence has Arrived" is by far their best work in my opinion, "America needs to be Destroyed" and "We Kill Everything" are other goods ones. Gwar has a very original style, and they constantly redefine it. Songs to get a general idea of the band would be: Americanized, Saddam A-Go-Go, Biledriver, Have You Seen Me?, and Immortal Corruptor.

Where and when it was: Denver, Colorado: The Gothic

    A link to the band/artists website: http://www.cannibalcorpse.net/

Any highlights/lowlights of the gig: They played all thier best stuff, But the pit was brutal these three drugged up skinheads showed up and messed everyone up. I personally was pretty wounded along with my friends by the end of it.

Any listening recommendations for those who might not have heard of the band/artist before. Cannibal Corpse is pretty much the definition of death metal when you get right down to it, Butchered at Birth and Live Cannibalism are my favorite albums, good songs to listen to by them are: Hammer-Smashed Face, Devoured by Vermin, Gutted, Savage Butchery, and Hatchet to the Head.
