I have been looking for a decent LARP system to cover the Cyberpunk/Dark Future genre for some time, but have found very little out there. Most use the Minds Eye system, which is not bad for what it is, but it's not a 'Cyber' system.
I have thought about this over the last couple of years on an off, and now I have finally decided to do something about it.
Im looking at using a LaserTag style system for weapons (which I am currently developing) and netrunning software that will run on PDA's (such as a Palm, IPAQ, Cassiopeia, etc...) These two game mechanics will be seperate from the rest. I haven't gotten too far into the rest of the system yet. I would like to keep a lot of the rules/style from the original CP2020 game
Current working title is : Cyberpunk Hardwire
I am making a couple of changes (creative license). It's not going to be set in 2020 or 2032, but in 2012. I made this decision to allow for creation of the technology and setting a little closer to now, but still have the futuristic element to it.
If anyone wishes to collaborate in this - feel free to let me know. I will be posting how things are going as they progress. With some luck and time I should have a prototype for the gun unit by the end of this week. The pack unit (which all players are required to have) should be a week or two after that.
