Glad to be onboard this community. I can't believe I never thought about a Cyberpunk forum! I'm a long-time die-hard fan of the genre.
I'm closing in on 31 years of age, I'm an engineer managing projects for a ventilation contractor.
Since I read "Neuromancer" back in.....1990 I think, I've been mesmerized by the genre. I've read most - if not all - of Gibson, Sterling and whatever I could find in the genre. I havent done a lot of it lately, but that'll have to be remedied, at once!
I'm also a long time role-player, and the Cyberpunk genre was also one of my absolute favorites for many years. It still holds a place in my heart, but I'm not actively playing any for the past (too) many years.
While I've played very little Shadowrun and Cyberpunk 2020, I'm quite familiar with the settings and mechanics. The bulk of my campaigns has been using GURPS (3rd ed, this was from 1993 and on), with settings of my own devise (although heavily Gibson-/Sterling'esque) and a lot of home brewed rules for cybernetics etc. Sadly almost solely as a GM. I always wanted to play myself, but had trouble convincing any of my crew to set up campaigns, because they felt they had insufficent knowledge. I gues my influence was overwhelming.
I hope to be active and get much inspiration from my fellow community members.
