  1. "So, is your character you, your opposite, your dream or your nightmare?"

All of the above overtime. Although I think a common theme among my character is that they are disagreeable and promote relationship conflicts with the other party members. Not enough to start a fight (usually) but enough to keep things interesting.

  2. So far we have had....

A Cops campaign run by one GM.

A Corporate War Edgerunners campaign run by me.

A Mercenary Unit campaign by another GM. Very Maximum Metal.

Next week we are starting another Cops campaign run by another GM (who is a copper no less), looking forward to this as we haven't played Cyberpunk in awhile.

All of the players in our group also GM from time to time so we all get a chance to play.

  3. Hmm bombing both a UN and a Red Cross facility. Military Intelligence isn't. All these high-tech guided missiles/bomb aren't accurate and often don't work at all. Did you know Bin Laden has access to Cruise Missiles from the previous attacks on his bases, since some failed to detonate.

One of the problems with guided bombs is that if the guidance fails they are less accurate than dumb fire bombs, as the moveable tail fins mean it can land way off target and won't have a predicatable tragectory.

I think more of the weapons in Cyberpunk should be UR for reliability if they accurately want to reflect modern military hardware.

My sympathy is for the innocents that are going to die on both sides of this conflict.

  4. Not read all of it yet but my first question after reading the first paragraph is why would anyone put on their 'favourite track' on a jukebox then leave.

Surely you would either not waste your money on the track or sit around an listen to it.

Other idea, for the 'hit team' one of them should be usinging smart goggles, and the film should be through them for a scene with a target reticule tracking the vampire. His ammo count ticking down at the side everytime he sprays some bullets. Maybe other members of the team showing up as warm reds and oranges where as the vamp shows up cold as a pointer to Jeremiah's nature.

I'm wondering if you could do some sort of comparison shot between the vampires supernatural abilities and the hunter teams technological one. Vampire growing claws, hunter extending a spur from a cyberlimb, vampires enhaced vision, hunters tech-goggles, etc.

  5. Admittedly the Foundary figures are good (In fact I have already placed my order before I saw this topic) but there are some other places for CP figures....

http://www.em4miniatures.com/ sells pre-painted SWAT team and Nomad gang  - £10.99 for 5 painted figures.

Plastic Troopers and Gangers for £2.50 for a sprue of 5. Snap together with interchangeable weapons and backpacks.

Or a wide range of metal unpainted figures at £1 each, a very good price.

http://www.geocities.com/TimesSquare/Corridor/3588/copplestone.htm sells packs of 5 for £6 and also has a wide selection of CP style figures. Including a nice looking News Team.

  6. With Cyberpunk 3 now with a date on the release schedule, does anyone know what's happening with the planned third part of the Firestorm: Corporate War books? (Will this be the first release for the new system?)

    Also....

Will the setting for 3rd Edition be post corp war? How will the cyberpunk world have changed?

Considering current day developments in genetics and biotechnology do you think Cyberpunk will move away from chrome and towards biotech? It was hardly touched on in the core rules of 2020, but appeared more and more in the later Chromebooks.

How do you think the setting may have changed or will it be pretty much the same?

Firestorm seemed to be heading to a major shake-up of the campaign setting I just wondered what peoples opinions were on it.

  7. Those platic cable ties, you know that SWAT uses as handcuffs. They are as handy as duct tape but easier to carry.

    Chemical glowsticks andor pocket maglite.

Set of small screwdrivers, or a leatherman multitool.

Stopwatch, to time guards on patrol routes.

    Chewing Gum, a must have.

    Superglue, need I say more.

Tennisball or Football, throw it over a fence guards will usually go to investigate, it just looks like some kids lost it and is unlikely to put them on alert. Meanwhile they are either out of the way while the team sneaks in from another direction or in an excellent position for a sniper.

  8. An american remake that is better than the original? This I have to see to believe. After all its not like they have a good track record for decent remakes, they just tend to mess them up. Red Dwarf, Ultraviolet, etc.

  9. A popular one with me is the FN-HERSTAL P-90 - compat as an SMG but fires light rifle rounds, clear magazine along the top so you can easily check how many rounds you got left.

    FN_P90.gif

and it looks stylish too. I think c-punk screwed up on its stats a little in the nomad sourcebook, but I'm not 100% sure since I don't have it to hand.

For everyday wear you can't beat the Glock 30MP though.

  10. Yeah I had read how you can make an EMP grenade out of a bit of wire and explosives. I think some anti-capitalists had been using them or some crooks to play havok with cash machines.

  11. Which is the one with the fashion and prices for various clothes in different styles. That's a must have in my opinion. Especially if your going for style over substance. I think its 4. Only problem is you can design an outfit that has SP 24 and no EV modifier. Books 2 and 3 cover the 'borgs, only needed if you want to scare the fantastic out of your players.

I think you can buy 3&4 in one book and 1&2 as a combined book as well. That might be the easiest way to pick them up as I think those are in print.
