  7. I stumbled across this interesting bit of passive detection tech while wandering the web and have turned it into something that drives players absolutely mad. A technique used by The Orbital Angels when hunting a target within an urban environment. Called Variance Based Radio Tomographic Imaging or VB-TRI. The principle works like this: An individual/organization wants to see inside a particular area without using an active scan that would tip off any local sensor that a scan was being made. This trick takes advantage of local wireless nodes that are ubiquitous in most dense urban areas b

  11. CPv3 = Transhuman Punk. And as my game was a Fusion (pun intended) of Cyberpunk 2020, Bubblegum Crisis, and Transmetropolitan on Absinthe, CPv3 was a lovely data mine of new concepts for me to fiddle with and rip what I wanted from it. some concepts I ignored (The Reefs) , but others I took (like the living Night City) and Ran with. Yeah it's sci-fi, but let's be honest, Cyberpunk is a subset of Sci-fi. granted people got some weird abilities, but Cyberpunk stories are at their heart a Film Noir setting, once you strip away of the glamour and glitz. I did, and the players enjoyed the

  13. Gotta admit, if they get this working, never even considered the concept before http://www.wired.com/dangerroom/2013/02/microfibers-army/
  14. yeah, Motoko and Baoto were well past full conversion and were almost digtial intelligences, except for a few scraps of meat here and there. an da good potion of the population had coretex's replaced with digital hardware. the line got very grey on the whole humanity thing. I still think that GITS is perhaps a example of cyberpunk and Post cyberpunk fused together

This is kibbled tech...and it's scary

  19. and we now have a operational title: Cyberpunk 2077 and it looks more the Blade Runner Route than TransMetropolitan http://cyberpunk.net/
  20. just some thought's I had about the new CP Well things have come a very long way since the early days of the net in CP 2013 and frankly none of us had any idea about what the Net would turn into. Some ideas to polish out the Zee-Rust from our favorite setting: Communications Tech is Omni Present: Let’s be honest here, even now we’ve got the capability to monitor people and route information that would make The Party From 1984 cry like a little girl. iPod’s with cameras, Camera-Phones, personal monitors, and other such should be ever present, and omni present. Every piece of Equipm
  21. I know I am going to draw fire for this, but Cyberpunk V3 wasn't that horrible the rules need polish, and the Alt Cults seemed to me to be like the Enclaves out of Snowcrash. I embraced it plus throw ina mix of BGC and Transmetropolitan and ran with my own setting as "The City" kept growing and causing issues. still working on Foglets tho...
