  1. The diversity of the Secondary skills list makes it easy to justify using Pick-up points.  An especially high starting skill (ie one of your 5 levels) easily explains a burgeoning actor being recruited to "serve their country," or a talented thief being forced to work for the agency instead of going to the pen.  This option makes me feel like the character could be more story driven if the player chooses.

  2. As a quick heads up, I am leaving to go visit my daughter and son-in-law in Ohio tomorrow.  I'll be back next Wednesday and present for the Saturday session, but not guaranteeing to check in here before Wednesday.  I'm fine with whatever plan everyone agrees to, but plans never survive contact - especially our plans - and Cossack drives like his hair is on fire during times like this so everyone be prepared for things to get crazy!

    • Agreed on the NO torture of the Raffin Shiv.  I only brought this up as it was a viable option, but honestly, it would be a bad idea and take up too much time that you don't have.

Well, with the storm taking out radio and tv, we kinda have nothing but time and Cossack has quite a bit of pent up frustration and aggression built up over the death of Usman…… but I know how 8-Ball will get. 😑 So is there a barn or garage where we can get the ATM covered from the weather and work on attaching a weapon? And also, what will we be attaching? Checking the mechanicals would also be a good idea.

If the intent is to have Jesse man the GL in the armadillo on a sortie, who’s driving?

Are we waiting for the Raffen to be visible before we deploy? Or are we letting the cavalry move off to the south or north as the storm begins to abate in order to be in position to attack the flank of the approaching column?

Has a spot been identified for Zdravko to set up that big ass rifle? He should be able to disable quite a few of the larger vehicles as they approach. It might be possible to set up some sort of sniper nest on top of the bus or trailer if push comes to shove. The community might have some scrap metal or such - even just some sandbags! - that can be used to throw something together.

Rusty has earned a say in his deployment given his previous participation, so where does he want to be? Is he stepping up to be a driver, man a weapon, or is he preferring to be part of the community protection?

If the big rig is just going to plug the gate and not be part of the ride or die, is there enough room behind the cow catcher for rifleman to use it as cover?

  4. Is the Scorpion or AMT armed? Both write-ups include at least the possibility that weapons are mounted, or at the very least have mountings built in.  Cossack is much more useful in a mounted capacity, and the Scorpion indicates it can attain full speed in desert / plain environments - and that seems applicable here - while the AMT is limited to 60mph off road.  The fact that their mortars will out distance our GL means we will need to incorporate a plan for nullifying them, and you aren't going to find many people crazier then Cossack to carry out that assignment.  There is the added benefit that I have my heavy armor to protect me a bit, so if there are other volunteers with similar gear, the more the merrier.

  5. Once you get the maps, give thought to whether it is better to have Cossack and Jesse Wayne acting as a mobile fire base since the armadillo isn’t capable of single operations; or is it better to use it as a sort of pillbox with Cossack running the GL and Jesse somewhere using his minigun to harvest the the bikers like so much Kansas corn?

  6. Cossack would like to request that big guns pick big targets from now on. Carrying the Dragon was based on compact design and it spread to make ammo and parts readily available in the crew - but even with its compact design extended magazines are not usable while firing from the driver’s position. The standard armored police were manageable for most of us, while the SWAT were not. Whether he’s a cert’ed sniper or not, that big gun of Zdravko should have been ruining the uber armored or the vehicles from turn 1 and leaving the standard troops to us.

  7. Well the Home of the Brave is ~50 years out of date, but it was South Carolina that had the Alabama and Georgian patrol cars go missing. Also, it describes Georgia as the power house of the bloc so they could show dominance by allowing us safe passage and play, or they could show resistance to the federal authorities by allowing Alabama authorities to apprehend us.
By letting us do the show the Georgia government could be putting Alabama in its place and reminding them of their failure, but that could also be viewed as fear of federal reprisal so they’re walking a razors edge.
And that’s if we even make it to the drive on Atlanta as the previous show in Tallahassee puts us ominously close to the Alabama border.

  8. Couple of quick questions -

    1) Home of the Brave gives a vague passage on education, and indicates there are still some public / state universities around, so I’m wondering if university based athletics is still a thing like it is currently?

    2) Being that Georgia is rather aligned with Alabama (unlike Florida), are we really safe to travel there for our final gig before departing the south? It would really suck to head up to Atlanta and be met by an army of Alabama black shirts.

  9. After the tour finishes, how about a one night event - Taking Out the Trash, Live from Detroit! We drop the Cyber Revolutionaries on the roof of the tower where drones and such circle to capture the band running through their collection, while split screen broadcasts from cameras attached to our PA's as we clear floor after floor until we reach the basement.  That should rival any Blood Bowl programming! We can dedicate it to the Leg Men of MSG, and offer a encore performance from NYC should the fans appreciate the artistic endeavor.

Yes, this is satire and yes Cossack wants payback for his ruined hat.

  10. Question for security on the stage -

How will you handle patrons who attempt to come on stage to perform a crowd surfing dive?

And for those behind the security  a question -

How does the band want such behavior handled?

I know some bands like Rage Against the Machine want security to not get involved with fans unless they actively pose a threat to a band member, while others like Metallica has security attempt to intercept such fans on their way up to the stage. Most of our previous tours were rather limited in size previously, and the larger events had robust security that meant we didn’t have to make such decisions. Perhaps crowd surfing has lost its appeal in the far future, but in todays events it’s a huge issue.
