I wonder what this big red button does...
  1. That about sums it up. 5 figures is a big ass medical bill. To make matters worse, apprently the laser on his PS3 has also died, so no GTA5 for him atm either... Talk about being kicked while your down. which is a pity as I'm trying to introduce a gal to Cyberpunk 2020. I wanted at least the maps to share with her. Well, it's handy that Wis kept everything available through his Dropbox account: https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/1027974...ted%20Files.rar

  3. Not working I believe that Wisdom has either been looking for an alternative host or is trying to save some cash and has not renewed the hosting.
  4. I always viewed the TECH stat as a measure of a chacters inate technical affinity as well as their ability to manipulate it. To me, TECH is about 'understanding' and INT is about 'knowing'. Interestingly, if you give a 4 year old an Iphone or a Laptop and they will probably master its capabilities in a week. That doesn't mean they are going to rival Einstein.
  5. I would like to point out that getting a handgun, illegally, is not all that difficult in the UK. Getting ammunition for it on the other hand, is the problem.

It was the measurement of the rifling. I wasnt aware of that level of deformation. Cheers to all, you've all been very helpful and insightful.

Does anyone have the exact data on the diameter of a barrel compared to its projectile? And finally, is the 7.62mm wikipedia correct with the fact that a 7.62mm barrel is used to fire 7.82mm rounds (the .308). Seriously, the barrel is smaller than the bullet?

From what I have read and heard, the issue with the sten gun was its magazine, rather than mechanism and barrel

Food for thought. Thank you both for the help.

So the bore of a rifle is so specific, even a 10th of a milimetre is to much space? Thats serious precision engineering. How was such perfection achieved in the pre-war era?

    Barrel Commonality

No, its all me. Something I may use in a game. All chamber issues aside, it could be done. Ok, reworded questions: What is the exact diameter of the inside of a barrel compared to the round it is designed to fire? Is it the exact same (totaly flush) or is it slightly larger (even by 0.001mm, just to allow the projectile to pass through the barrel without friction) What sort of effect would a loose projectile have in the barrel? Are we talking reduced accuracy or velocity? or something far worse? With the 5.56mm and the 5.45mm, Im rather curious about what that 0.11mm difference would mean in a barrel.
  13. Im in need of your help once again amigos. This time, im totally out of my depth and I have no idea of where else to look for an answer. I can but hope that some of you are able to impart to me, your wisdom on the matter. Aside from the issues with the reciever, would the following be feasible. And if so, what effect would it have on both the barrel and the projectile. 1: Could a 5.56mm barrel be used to fire a 5.45mm projectile? 2: Could a 6.8mm barrel be used to fire a 6.5mm projectile? And finally: 3: Is there a difference between barrels used for 7.62x39mm rounds and 7.62x51mm rounds? Again, thank you all. You always come through.
  14. It just seems to be such a small amount. I cant help thinking to myself; "Is that it?" when i get that reading. And yet it can achieve that capability, with such a small amount. I guees ill be reducing the propellant from 20% capacity to 10%. Thanks.
